Chapter 2

"Argh! That human!" the werewolf growl. 

'Why didn't I sense that it was a trap?!' he asked himself.

After a few minutes, Flint turned back to his human form, he get out to that place hurriedly. He also makes sure that there will not be a single thing that can trace his whereabouts.

Flint goes to a safe place and transforms into his wolf form. With the use of his ability to run faster, he can go back to their village in just five hours. 

While traveling he used one of the abilities of a werewolf, which is the mind link, for him to get a connection to the leader of the alpha pack. Supposedly, the mink link or mind linking can only be used by the werewolves with the same pack and with mates. But since the alpha leader and the beta leader share a deep connection of friendship and they were born on the same day, their minds can link.

"Kasper," he said politely with a respect to him. After all, he's the leader of the strongest pack. At first, Flint can't get a connection from him but soon they can hear each other a bit clear through their minds.

"What happened to you, Flint? There's seem to be a problem to our mind link."

"The hunter... I meet her. She injects something to me that makes me weak and cannot use a mind link for the time being."

"What? You encounter the hunter?"

"Yes!" Flint said. He stops from running and gasped for some air. For the first time in his life, he was out of breath just for running.

'Argh! I'm not fully recovering! I feel tired.'

 

On the other hand, the alpha leader, Kasper, seems to be a bit worried about his friend.

"Flint... Did something happen to you?" he ask a few seconds ago but he didn't receive a response.

"Flint?! Where are you?"

"Northwest."

"Alright. I'll come to you... Are you okay?"

"I... I feel dizzy." After what he said their mind link is completely gone.

'I need to hurry and find him. I think his condition is not good,' he said to his thought.

Kasper asked permission from the leader of their village before finding Flint. He also brings three Salutary, a werewolf who cure the injured werewolf by just using herbs.

Soon, Kasper and the salutary's find Flint in the middle of the woods, in his human form. Kasper puts the blanket that he bring to Flint's body because he wasn't wearing anything.

"Check his condition," he said. Then, the three salutary transform to their human form and start to cure Flint.

"How is he?"

"He's a bit weak. There is something on his body that blocked some of his vessels to function properly. I think we should bring him to the village immediately. He also needs to take a long rest."

"Alright! Put him in my back. Just be careful and make sure that he won't fall."

"Yes, alpha."

After three hours of traveling, they get back to their village safely. Flint is now resting while Kasper was questioned about what happened to him. The alpha leader didn't tell them yet what Flint told him because he wanted to talk about it first.

Five hours have passed before Flint regain his consciousness. The salutary check his condition again. They were all relieved when his strength was back. 

"Leave us!" Kasper told the salutary and they follow what he said.

"Are you okay?" 

"Yes!" Kasper sits in the chair in front of him. Now, they are facing each other.

"Now, tell me the details. How did you encounter the hunter?" 

"Didn't you tell it yet to the leaders of the village? 

"No. I want to hear first what happened to you." Flint nodded from what the alpha leader said and start to narrate what happened when he encountered the werewolf hunter.

"Well, she's gorgeous and sexy. I meet her in the bar where humans just want to have fun. I didn't realize it was a trap because I don't sense anything from her nor if she was dangerous to be with." Kasper glared at him after what he said. 

"What?" Flint asked innocently.

"Oh, come on! I know you want to find your mate but you need to be careful in the human world. Luckily, she didn't kill you."

"She just wants to get information from me." 

"What information?" Kasper asked seriously and glare at him again.

'You better didn't tell her anything!' he said to his thought.

"Like what I said to you, she injects something to me that made me weak and cannot use our mind link. Then, I couldn't control my body that time and I just formed my wolf form. It seems that I was hypnotized... Because I answered her question to me."

"What question?"

"About... My name, position in the pack, and our hideout."

Kasper's claws in his right hand are now can be seen. He was ready to scratch Flint's face but then, he just burst out his anger to the table beside him, it was destroyed.

"A... Alpha," Flint called him with a trembling voice but he only receives a glare again.

 

Kasper stand on his chair and began to walk around to calm himself. He wanted to hit Flint because he put danger to himself and their village.

"I'm... I'm sorry, alpha."

"Ha! What's the use of that? Our village will be in danger!

"But... I didn't tell her the location of our village."

"But she already knows you!" Flint just remains silent after he yells at him.

"This will be bad, after all, your the beta leader! You put danger to every one of us! I already told you to be careful in the human world but you let your guard down! Now, we will be in danger if the werewolf hunter finds our location!" 

"What did you say, alpha? The beta leader encountered the werewolf hunter?!" Kasper was stunned after hearing that voice. Flint and him slowly turned around their back just to see that the leaders of the village and some representatives of the different kinds of werewolves are now in their back.

"We demand an explanation!" They firmly said. 

Flint and Kasper use their mind link.

"Oh, no! We're doomed!"

"It's just you!"
