Late at night, Rose heard a knock on her room. She only lifted her face soon hearing the knock softly appearing from the strong knuckles. She knew whose hand had request to speak with her.

She pushed herself from the floor where she had been crouching at, feeling disappointed and betrayed.

The door went ajar and Dominic’s black eyes were filled with worries as he looked at her face. His hand went to her cheeks where it snugly fit for comfort, “You will be exhausted if you lock yourself for hours. Do you want a drink?”

Rose can’t answer a lot but nod. She watched him as he entered her room. His sleeve had been rolled to his elbow, letting her to see his strong muscle that flex as he took the water jar, pouring a glass for her.
