After I blocked Mom, her phone slipped from her hand and hit the floor.

She cried until her voice was hoarse. "We drove Anna away. We really ruined everything!"

Dad had aged considerably during this period. His eyes were bloodshot from sleepless nights.

He said nothing. He simply raised his hand and slapped himself hard across the face.

They gave up on trying to get me to save Kaiser.

He simply raised his hand and slapped himself hard across the face. They gave up on trying to get me to save Kaiser.Dad returned to the healer's den and asked the healer to use his blood instead. The healer sighed helplessly and said, "The detoxification process will be extremely painful and dangerous. Are you prepared?"Dad nodded weakly. "This is our only option."He had made mistakes, and he should be the one to make amends. The pain of the treatment would remind him for the rest of his life of the wonderful daughter he had lost. After Kaiser was saved, everything in the family changed.Mom and Dad abandoned their so-called rule of fairness and stopped spoiling the twins.Whenever Kaiser and Kelly fought

Inside the isolated training camp, I'd just finished a mock battle in brutal conditions. I was drenched in sweat and completely exhausted.Suddenly, David called me on video. When I answered, Mom's haggard face appeared on the screen.I asked expressionlessly, "Why are you calling me?"When Mom saw me wearing combat armor, her voice broke with sobs. "Anna, how could you go somewhere so dangerous? Won't you come home? Don't you want us anymore?"I looked at her coldly. "First of all, I'm getting the best training here. Once I pass the assessment, I'll become a werewolf warrior and fight on the battlefield."Second of all, the training camp is completely closed off. Besides, you only love Kaiser and Kelly, so there's no reason for me to go back to that house."I wasn't saying all that out of anger. I was simply stating facts.Mom started crying when she heard me.I didn't understand. They had never cared about me before. Why were they regretting their actions now?Mom told me w

Mom returned home in a daze, only to hear terrible news.To prove that he was stronger than Kelly, Kaiser had secretly gone hunting near the border. A rogue had stabbed him in the chest with a poisoned dagger.Mom and Dad were horrified. They rushed him to the healer's den. After an emergency examination, the healer made a grave announcement. "The poison has already spread. His wolf spirit is gradually going dormant. He's in critical condition!"The best option is to use his family's blood to neutralize the poison and save his life."The healer looked at Kelly. "You're the patient's twin, aren't you? Your blood would be the best antidote!"Kelly immediately shook her head. "N-No way! I don't–"Mom and Dad both stepped forward. "We are his family too!"The healer frowned. "You're both old. Drawing enough blood from you to neutralize the poison could seriously damage your wolf spirits. Are you sure?"Mom burst into tears and rushed over to Kelly before grabbing her hand."Kelly

Kaiser and Kelly started fighting while their wolf spirits snarled furiously.Kelly scratched Kaiser's face with her sharp claws."Those clothes were meant for me! How dare you cut them up?"Kaiser grabbed her hair and yanked hard."Why should you be the only one getting new clothes? That's not fair! If I don't get new clothes, neither will you!"It turned out Kaiser was the one who had cut up the clothes. It was all because he thought it was unfair.Kelly screamed and cried before grabbing whatever was within reach and hurling it across the room."Give me back my clothes!"The living room was about to be completely wrecked. Mom and Dad instinctively forgot all about my disappearance. They hurried over and pulled the two apart.Dad focused on calming Kaiser down, while Mom went to comfort Kelly. To put an end to the chaos, Mom and Dad spent a huge amount of money buying ten new outfits for each of them.Mom collapsed onto the couch in exhaustion. She had just picked up her

After what happened at the party, Mom and Dad became the subject of everyone's gossip. The guests clicked their tongues and shook their heads. They urged my parents not to show too much favoritism.Mom was humiliated and became even more resentful toward me.After the party ended, she assumed I was hiding in the storage room and sulking, so she simply locked the door from the outside. The next morning, Mom stood in the living room and announced loudly, "From now on, nobody is allowed to open the storage room door!"There was no response from inside.Mom assumed I was silently rebelling against her. Her ears bristled with anger."Unless she willingly admits her mistake, we won't forgive her!"For the next two days, the storage room became a forbidden area in our home.No one dared go near it.But without me, the house quickly descended into chaos. The dirty clothes Kelly changed out of piled up and eventually filled the house with a sour stench.Kaiser's hunting boots were c

I stopped caring about anything else and ran over to Kelly. I pointed at her and yelled, "Give it back!"A flicker of guilt crossed Kelly's eyes, but she immediately hid behind Mom.Dad frowned and scolded me. "What the hell are you doing?"I ignored him and stared at Kelly. My eyes welled up with tears. "I said give it back!"My stubborn attitude enraged Kelly. She covered the necklace around her neck. "Why did Grandma give you a necklace and not me? That's not fair!"I laughed bitterly. I was too angry to care about holding back."Fair? Ever since I was little, everything in this family has gone to you and Kaiser. I got nothing!"Now I finally got one old necklace, and you're still calling it unfair?"Kelly couldn't come up with an answer. She could only cry in anger.Kaiser hurried over, ripped the necklace from Kelly's neck, and hurled it to the floor."No! Don't!" I screamed in despair. The moonstone necklace shattered into pieces.Kaiser glared at me viciously. "Happ
