“Zoya!” a scream echoed in the whole house as she ignored him and continued to roll the tortilla with her broken hand; making it the most difficult thing she had ever done. Her hands were still shivering; there was no relief to it.

“Ishh” She hissed as she finished making another round of tortillas.

“ZOYA!” turning off the stove; she took off the apron before and walked out of the room in slow steps; she can’t walk fast, and her legs are shaky, similar to an 80-year-old.

“Kya hai?” (what?) She asked as Kabir stood in front of her with the button of his shirt undone.

“Do them,” He said as he stood in front of her like a child as she frowned.

“what am I? your naukrani?” (servant) She said as she rolled her eyes at him.

She was about to walk away when he pulled her by her good arm; her back hit his chest as she turned towards him and glared, “You were not one baby but you became one when I married you,” he said as he put her hand on his shirt buttons.

“Do them,” he said
