Twenty-five

Ethan woke up. Not from the sound of his alarm but the knock on his door.

"I have prepared breakfast. Let's eat," Troye said, smiling. His eyes were roaming around Ethan's bedroom.

"I am sorry it was such a mess here. I did not have the time to clean up," Ethan said as he picked up the clothes that were on the floor.

"Well, then. I will be waiting for you downstairs."

Ethan smiled as a response. He tidied his things up a bit – arranged the clothes, segregated dirty and clean clothes, placed back the stuff where they belonged.

He picked up Chad's jeans. It was still in a pouch. Instead of finally throwing it, he opened the cabinet and placed it there. They were once in a good term, yet he has not had the chance to return it. And now that they're on bad terms, it seems impossible.

Where did he even get my number?

Picking up his phone, he sat on the edge of his bed. He revisited the messages and reread Chad's message.
