Madison’s POV.

Gem was in a very critical condition, she was overdosed on cocaine. My heart sank as I heard the news. I knew that cocaine overdose could be deadly, and the thought of losing my sister was almost too much to bear. "What's her prognosis?

I asked the nurse, my voice barely a whisper.

"It's too early to say, we're doing everything we can, but it's important to prepare for the worst.”

My legs felt weak and I sank into a nearby chair. "I can't lose her," I said, tears streaming down my face. "I just can't."

The nurse put a hand on my shoulder and gave me a sympathetic smile. "I know it's hard," she said. "But right now, the best thing you can do is to be there for your sister.

Talk to her, even if she can't respond. And make sure you take care of yourself too. You can't help her if you're not taking care of yourself, your mum’s heart is not even strong enough to carry the weight of her state, just try to be strong for your family.
