Chapter Eight.

*The Next Morning*

Dexter's Pov....

I woke up with my head banging so loud, it hurts so much. I wanted to come down from the bed as I realized my leg was on something soft and hard at the same time.

I quickly removed my leg as it was a human that was on the floor. Shit! What the hell is she e doing in my room.

Or is she scared to stay in her room? What a weak girl. Wait, what happened to me yesterday, don't tell me my trauma is back, I remembered calling Melanie to my room.

She already know about it, I hope she doesn't ask more questions and she should just mind her business that way. 

"Hey wake up." I used my leg to hit her back. As she turned over with her thighs being exposed, what the!!!

I watched as she opened her eyes slowly, when she saw me she quickly stood up from the floor.

"What are you doing in my room, you can't even spare me some privacy? Are you that scared?" I asked immediately she stood up.

"But sir..." She wanted to say something but she stopped.

"I'm sorry, I will just leave." She said as she turned her back wanting to leave the room

"Why did you sleep in my room yesterday?" I queried before she could step outside.

"I was just scared staying in my room." She stated.

"Don't try it again." I warned her as she just nodded. If she is scared she should go find some where else to stay. I rolled my eyes as she walked away, so annoying.

I need to go and see the doctor, it has been long I've experienced this. Why is it coming back again? The pain after 5 years is still engraved in my heart. My ex girlfriend death is still hunting me.

"I will just stay at home today, I'm not going to the chapel." I said to myself.

"Remove all the unimportant investors meeting in the schedule for this month. Make everything free." 

"What? All investors are important and besides it's going to take long for me to do that." Melanie complained.

"Just do as I say and submit today." I added as she scoffed.

Did she just scoff Huh?

"What did you just do?" I queried.

"Sir, I wasn't employed to work on weekend, so I will just edit the schedule and send it tomorrow" She said as she excused herself.

This girl is really crossing her boundaries these days, I should remind her who the boss is. 

She didn't go to the chapel today too, I guess we are on the same page.

I knew my mom was going to come here today so I should just be prepared for those pep talk of hers.

You must be wondering why I am not interested in getting married. It was a long story since 7 years ago. My mom knew about it but she doesn't want me to live with the fear of my past. She want a lady to occupy the space of my ex girlfriend in my heart.

"I'm home." I heard my mother's voice as she entered the house, I think I need to change my security pin. I think she figured out about the pin yesterday when she followed Melanie to this place.

I'm very sure she can't just barge in anytime she wants without even knocking.

"Welcome mom." I greeted her as she came to me and kissed me on my cheek.

I thought she was angry with the way I replied her yesterday, that's why I love my mom.

I wondered how she got to forget about my ex easily, I remembered how she will go shopping with her, they will spend quality time with themselves and it was actually cool. Not until she died.

I started seeing her in my dream, I was starting to get mentally ill. Anytime I can see her my heart will stop beating.

I visited the hospital for good two years, it wasn't cool at all.

My grandfather told me to get better and start managing the company, I started working at the company and I made sure to get committed to the company. My mind became preoccupied with something else.

Mrs.Corazon knew about my health, she has been my nanny since when I was little. She will be the one to help me whenever I got those attacks.

"Where's Lani?" She asked. My mother sometimes call Melanie Lani.

"She's in her room." I replied her as she touched my shoulder and went upstairs. 

"She sleeps alone in her house, how will she be scared when I am with her? Something must be wrong! Or what if she's lying." My mind drifted to what happened in the morning.

Few minutes Later.

I saw my mom and Melanie coming down from the stairs. Melanie already changed her cloth as she was putting on a white crop top and a leader pant with boot bringing out all her female curves.

She's still that with messy buns hairstyle anyways.

She really looked cool with the dress, I've not seen her in this type of outfit before. She always dress corporately. I guess mom must have instigated her to put on the dress.

My mother kept in whispering some things in ear and her face was all red.

"You guys are going for shopping right?" I asked in order to be sure.

"What, are you shocked by her beauty?" My mom teased.

There is no reason for me to reply her.

"I told her to dress this way, I'm very sure guys will ask for her number once she can go out." She said.

Whatever! 

"And you know what happens when she starts dating." My mom reminded as I just rolled my eyes.

It will not be hard for me to look for a new Personal Assistant.

"I will go with you guys." I said as they are looked at me with their eyes wide opened, I guess they were not expecting me to say something like that.
