Chapter 50 Turning Point

Feeling the steady movement of the moving submarine as it traveled across the sea somehow helped to put me at ease. I slumped onto the seat of the ship as I rubbed a towel over my wet hair. It was still sticky from the saltwater, but I didn’t even feel like taking a shower, after all, that workout earlier. I mean, we barely managed to escape that accursed cave.

Byron was still transfixed on the rod in his hands, spinning it around in his palms, out of the corner of my eye. Emily, Watson, and my father sat on the opposite side of the room - a  weird and uneasy atmosphere surrounded the three of them. Emily and Watson were undecided about how they should react, especially since they were seated next to a metahuman.

Even I wasn’t sure of what happened. All I know is that once we escaped the great blue hole, Emily and Watson were there to escort us
