[ Sophia ]

"Dad, how dare you touch my wife?"Daniel rushed to me whereas his voice resonated in the empty dining area. He crouched down to my level and gently helped me to get up.

"Ask your wife and her over."Edward sneered venomously.

"Are you okay?"He softly asked me but I had no heart to look at him.

I felt humiliated more than the physical pain that shoots through my lower abdomen where I hit the edge of the table.

"Sophia?"He again called me softly but I adored the floor.I heard him sucking a deep breath."Sophia, look at me."

I let the warm tears of humiliation roll uncontrollably from my eyes.

"You shouldn't be comforting her if you had learnt about her scandal behind your back."Edward spat bitterly, anger was radiating from his tone which made me flinch everytime he said something to me or I say insulted me .
