I never thought that the man who used to look at me with love would one day tell me that he is regretting the day we met. The warmth in his eyes will be transformed into anger and resentment. I would witness him killing people. That I would find out that the sweet man I fell for is actually a very dangerous Mafia boss who scare the hell out of the world. The look in his eyes when he kills is something which I would feel hard to forget. That one day, he has the ability to scare the hell out of me. And the sweet man I know never existed. That was all an act which he put on in front of the world.

My name is Serra, and this is our story.

Three years ago....

In a high end chrome and glass building, a young man was standing in the middle of a huge carpeted room in front of the floor to ceiling wall. He is looking at the sea which looks stormy, just like him. He is wearing a black suit which hugs his broad shoulders and trim down to his waist like a second skin. His long muscular legs look imposing in his black slacks. He is none other than the Mafia boss of the Nividea. Nividean islands are a group of several islands nearby the US. He rules these Islands with an iron fist. And to say that these Islands provide most of the high end and very expensive minerals to the world would be an understatement. He is known as 'The boss'. The most powerful, most ruthless man the mafia world has ever seen so far.

He killed the previous boss of these Islands under a minute before taking his place as 'The Boss'.

No one knows how he looks and who he is. He prefers to keep it that way. With his short hairstyle in the sides and the back, but long hair near the front, Sharp nose, a well maintained short and hot beard, and simple clothes to match, he looked stylish and trendy. No one would even think that he is the most feared Mafia boss of Nividea, scarier than anyone in the history so far, not even his mentor Luca Vitiello can compare to how cunning and cold hearted this young man is. His two brothers are much better when compared to him. He changes colours like a chamilion, confusing and scaring his enemies. He could kill anyone with the scariest smile on his lips. His kills are clean and detached. He kills his enemies as easily as he squash a bug without any mercy.

"Boss, it's all set. We have enrolled you in the Chicago University as the senior student. That's the same school where Miss Hera is enrolled at" his underboss Andro shared.

The boss gave him a crisp nod of acknowledgement. But his underboss didn't leave immediately. He wanted to remind his boss that he cannot go to school like a regular student and it's not safe for him. But he couldn't conjure enough courage to speak. So like the loyal servant that he is, he decided to tell everything to His Boss's elder brother instead.

"Boss, your brother is on the call" he handed over the mobile phone.

His boss turned his head sideways and gave a look at his underboss. He knows why his brother is calling. Andro looked scared, but still handed over the mobile to his boss.

"Brother" the boss answered.

"Kyle, what am I hearing? You enrolled yourself in the Chicago University?" Matteo Gonsalves demanded from the other end.

Kyle smirked. He loves his brother very much. But he could only show his love the way he knows how, with guns. Matteo Gonsalves is not his brother by blood. But a brother by loyalty and dedication.

"Yes" he replied, but didn't elaborate.

Matteo rubbed his temples feeling tired. He is currently sitting in Hera's humble home after saving it from the bank.

"You graduated from Yale as the top student of your class. Why do you want to come here and study again?" he asked.

Kyle is of no nonsense type. He doesn't like speaking just for the sake of it. But when he speaks, it means he decided and there is no changing his decision.

"You just recovered from such a huge injury, and you refused all of us from even visiting you. Do you know how worried we were about you?" Kyle spoke up, showing a hint of affection which he usually never show anyone else. He is not pleased by his brother's decision either.

Matteo rubbed his wound absently, remembering how he got fooled by a woman.

Matteo felt guilty, but he didn't want to face his family in such a miserable situation either. He was fooled once, and he is not planning to leave it just like that.

"Kyle, please don't tell me that you are coming here for me" Matteo knows how Kyle is. He also knows what Kyle is capable of. If there is a person in this world who can even scare Matteo, then that would be Kyle when he is upset.

Kyle smirked. A very sinister smirk which is a promise to kill everyone who dared to hurt his brother.

"If you think that I would leave the bit*h who almost killed you, then you are delusional. She will die, and I will protect you from every b*tch out there" he promised darkly.

Matteo felt very uncomfortable when he heard this. He knows Kyle will create a blood bath if he comes here. He doesn't want that to happen.

"Kyle, you know I am capable of handling my business. If you come here and touch anyone whom you shouldn't touch, then mark my words, this is the last time we will speak with each other" Matteo threatened with the only weapon he knows which can affect his younger brother.

Kyle clenched his fists with anger.

"You can't do that" he muttered angrily, showing for the first time that he is indeed affected.

Matteo smirked happily, thinking that his plan worked perfectly.

"This is how it works. Just like how you hate me and dad meddling in your business, I hate it too. You know that" he reminded his younger brother.

Kyle remained quiet. That made Matteo restless. His silence is scarier than his words.

"Please tell me that you changed your mind " he requested his brother.

Now it's Kyle's turn to smirk.

"No" he replied with finality.

Matteo is frustrated. Out of all the people, he knows that he cannot stop Kyle. So he decided to control him to a certain extent instead.

"Fine, if you come here, then you will be just one of the students. You go to your classes, play ball, flirt with chicks, party, and do all the stuff which kids these days would do. But the moment your identity as 'The Boss' comes out, I will kick you out of my territory" Matteo threatened.

Kyle knows when to pick his fights. If he decides to kill, not even Matteo can stop him. Even Matteo knows that. But Matteo also knows that Kyle would never disrespect his brother in his own territory like that. So he agreed, reluctantly.

"I will not meddle in your business. But you cannot stop me from protecting you, in whichever way I see fit" he placed a condition of his own.

Matteo sighed. He knows this is the extent he could push Kyle. Take this or nothing.

"Fine" Matteo muttered before disconnecting the call.

Kyle didn't turn his head, but could feel the displeasure of his underboss.

"You ratted about me to my brother?" he asked evenly, which made Andro look terrified.

"Boss, that, I..." he stumbled over his words, but couldn't lie.

"You will stay here and look after the business in my stead. You will not be coming with me. Call Carlos and tell him that I need him in Chicago" Kyle knows what would punish his underboss more. This will hurt him more than any physical punishment.

Exactly like Kyle knows, Andro became pale feeling helpless.
