“What did you say?” Dad asked me.
Was I doing the right thing telling dad about Yoké?
“He is here in Duran. He came here for me. And we met. I saw him.”
Dad opened his mouth but no words came out. He looked blown away. He looked around placing his hands on his waste.
“And where did you see him?” That seemed like the only words which could leave his mouth without him blowing up.
“Everywhere. My apartment, his apartment, here in the mansion-”
“Wh- what?” Dad asked, pronunciation so clear. “How the hell did he get into this mansion?”
I kept quiet. If I told him how, he’d know that Yoké is none other than Dan. Dan: Alice’s boyfriend, the guy I’m in love with and the guy whose baby I was carrying. That doesn’t sound good for Yoké
