Chapter 51
I must have fallen asleep in his arms, when I woke up, I could feel the sparks of his skin on mine, and the warmth of the fireplace at my back as I squirmed in discomfort. His anger was similar to the night my arm was broken, but it was so steady it surrounded me, it felt uncomfortable and painful even.
"Kal..." I started groggily, my eyes shooting open as a sudden rush of worry mixed with relief lifted the anger a bit, "what's wrong?"
