Breaking her

I was a fool to hope that one day you will trust me,

Treating you like a delicate glass with cracked parts.

But little did I knew, you will pierce your broken shards into the very core of my beating heart.

Betraying me to the extent I have nothing left but burning scars.

People react to fear differently, while some scream with all their might calling every souls attention, others go silent as if they don't even exist.

She belonged to the latter kind.

The sound of a gunshot was heard and the burning smell from the nozzle was felt.

But the pain was missing.

Her body was leaning on the wall for support, heart throbbing out of her chest and its thumping audible in her ears.
