The Acceptance

"What is that?" Donald asked curiously

"I know i shouldn't strike first but I can't hold it anymore. Donald, do... do you love me?" She stuttered

Donald could be seen with mixed expression; he actually don't know what to say

"I've never loved and I don't know how it feels like to love someone" Donald said almost in a whisper

"But do you always think about me?" Sandra investigated 

"Ye... Yes" he managed to stutter

"I love you Donald. Please come and ride with us, we will drop you in your place" she said

"Am not going in your direction, I will walk" Donald declined 

"We will drop you off in your place before we take our own direction. If you don't follow us, you have not accepted my apologies" Sandra persist 

Donald was pinned by her words, he became silent for sometimes. He just turned and started moving towards the car. When they came close to the car

"Please Donald" Sandra pleaded from behind

Donald paused when he finally came to the car. Sandra rushed to open the car door for him and he reluctantly entered the car

There was an awkward silence in the car for a while. Sandra tore a piece of paper and write thus

"I just want to know where you live, don't be angry"

She gave the paper to Donald. Donald let out a heavy sigh after reading it without saying a word

"Is this your house" Sandra asked pointing at Donald's house immediately Donald alight the car

"Yes" Donald confirmed 

"See you all on Monday" Donald added as he turned to leave

"Expect us tomorrow"Sandra said as she close the door

Its Saturday and Sandra had told her mother that she would be visiting a friend before her mother went out

Sandra happily called Clara and invited her to their house 

There was a knock at sandra's door, she opened to see clara

"Please I want us to visit Donald today" Sandra said   

"Really! Have you informed your mother?" Clara asked

"Yes, I have" Sandra asked while moving out to the car

They entered Sandra's car and drove by themselves to Donald's residence

Just a little distance to Donald's house, they found Donald selling fishes with his mother in a poor wooden shop by the road side

"That is Donald" clara said pointing at Donald through the car window 

Sandra quickly packed the car and they both alight

Donald became restless and bitter immediately he saw them coming towards their shop

"Good evening ma" both Clara and Sandra greeted in chorus

"How are you my children" Mrs Linda replied

"Fine"

"Do you want to buy some fishes?" Mrs linda asked further

"Yes ma, and we also want to help you sell" Sandra said. 

Donald was silent and was looking elsewhere as if he didn't notice their presence

"Really! But who are you"Mrs Linda asked

"We're Donald's friends" Sandra answered

"Donald!" Mrs Linda called immediately

"Ma!" This time, Donald turn around to see both Sandra and Clara

"Oh! you guys are here" Donald said

"How are you doing today" he added

"We are fine" Sandra answered with an unpleasant look

Sandra, Mrs linda and Clara chatted all through the time but Donald was silent and he never get involved in their chats until there were set to leave

Sandra and Clara decided to leave, Donald started working them towards their car. 

"Donald,  you don't want us in your house and its very obvious" Sandra said with a furious face

"Not really...."

"Its fine" Sandra said as she opened the car and hopped in angrily 

Donald was short of words as he watched them driving off

Sandra drove angrily without talking to Clara. She was burning in anger 

Clara also wasn't happy with donald so she let Sandra be

Donald came to school the next week not knowing how to talk to Sandra. He came very late that day and silently went and sit on his desk

Donald doesn't go out for break as he lies over his desk with his face down.

"Are you actually going to use this hair for your birthday next tomorrow" clara asked Sandra in the classroom 

"I don't know whether i will celebrate this birthday" Sandra replied

"Are you serious?" Clara asked out of surprise

"Am not just happy and please don't ask me why" Sandra said with a serious look

"I already know its because of him" Clara said as she sit behind Sandra

Donald is always the one sitting in their front so he over heard all they said

The next day was Sandra's birthday, Donald came to the school very late that day

Donald quickly went out during break time while Sandra was being celebrated in the classroom.

Sandra was not happy about Donald not even telling him happy birthday. Sandra looked obviously tattered 

Donald also had bought a romantic novel and wrapped it with a piece of writting. He waited until he saw Sandra and Clara outside and he quickly went inside and inserted it into sandra's bag

When Sandra got home, she opened her bag to bring out the gifts some students gave to her and she found a new gift in it; she quickly tore the wraps and found a write-up, thus:

"Am sorry,  i was about to say 'what if your mother found out you were selling fishes, how would she feel? But you interrupted me'. I will be your friend,  i love you too"

After reading this, Sandra felt like screaming loud as she hold the paper in her hands. Her heart raced speedily. She turned around to see her mother standing beside her with her eyes full of intensity. She gasp at the realization of her mother's presence

"Who the hell is Donald?" That was the only question from Mrs Susan 

"My.... My... Class mate" Sandra stuttered 

"Just a class mate gave you such a write-up professing love?" Mrs Susan asked again 

"Yes mum,  we are just friends"

"Okay. You better not get yourself into any love or you will have yourself to blame" Mrs Susan warned and left her in the sitting room.

While Sandra and Clara were in the car to school the next day,  Sandra gave Clara the paper Donald hide in her bag.

"What is it?" Clara asked out of curiosity

"Just read it" she said

After clara read the paper,  she also felt happy

"Now i know why you look charming, you have been looking disorganised since that day" Clara said 

"Can i go and sit on his desk?" Sandra asked
