Chapter 7

The following morning  I had a quick shower me got dressed  and was quite ready to go about my daily activities

I walked down through the stairs hoping to get something nice to eat. 

It’s breakfast ready yet? I think I’m starving I asked the maid. While I tried to adjust to adjust the chairs.

She walked towards me with a beaming smile.

These are the menu I’d like you to pick from and we’ll get it prepared.

I scanned through the menu it didn’t have a lot of options I could pick from

"I think I’ll just go with sandwiches and coffee".

Alright I handed over the menu to her.

"But why this? Asides the menu here dont you prepare anything else

"No Aria these are the menu already made from Damian and we’re not supposed to make anything else unless he modifies it.

Im really sorry about this.

"That’s okay I get.

This is so annoying,the fact I get to eat only what was specified.

I kept thinking of what to tell Damian and then i came across the CCTV cameras which Damian installed which was at every centers if the living room.

Damian did this to watch my every move which was insane if you ask me.

My phone rang shortly after, but it was an unknown number which I didn’t recognize at that moment .

Firstly I thought of my sister, for days now I haven’t gotten any information about her well-being and Damian won’t let me go out unless it’s necessary.

It’s a good thing I still have my phone with me.

The number kept on ringing on repeat I was too curious I had to answer it.

"Hello… who’s there?

I couldn’t hear the caller there was a break in transmission.

And then the phone went off.

Damn it, I just realized I had a flat battery and I forgot to charge up earlier.

I should have known earlier.  

I heard footsteps behind me .

It was Damian his presence alone made me shiver .

"Who have you been talking to ?

I felt my heart racing faster.

"It was no …. One I stammered .

Lies I’ve been watching you up till now and you still try to lie Aria.

You obviously have no shame Aria, he pulled me by the collar of my shirt.

"Let me go Damian, i quickly snapped his hands."

"Don’t you ever talk to me like that ever again.

"I’m obviously not one of your puppets you try to mess around with.

This time around I stood firm, trying to be confident as ever.

The fact we have an agreement , and you have to be the superior doesn’t give you the advantage over me.

I’m honestly sick and tired of the way you treat me like I’m one of your puppets Damian.

If you need someone to tolerate your attitude then you should definitely get one and stop the chase already.

He looked at me with so much anger , I didn’t care less I’m certain he feels irritated and intrigued by my action.

"Good acting Aria." II see you have such confidence to talk to me in that manner.  

"Anyways I really don’t know what you think of me Im just trying to protect you from a lot of things you have no idea about. "

"Everything in this building is under security all because of you, do you think I’d let you get hurt ?.

Buy you seen to not understand the things I do for you.

"Well you should also try to talk to me as a mature man would do.

"The yelling and screaming won’t change my attitudes towards you, you know that.

There was a moment of silence, Damian couldn’t talk to me after that. His jaw tightens.

I’ve never seen him in that position before and I’m sure he’ll be alright, whatever he did remember.

"I need everyone’s attention.

He ordered for the security guards, his drivers and the maids to assemble at the sitting room.

They all came out in their different uniforms as to what position they occupy in the Mansion.

"I need you all to pay close attention to all I have to say, he began.

"I believe you all no who Aria is by now, I mean you’ve been seeing her in the mansion.

You may have had one or more conversations with her . I really don’t care what that entails but…

"I want you all from this day henceforth to treat her with courtesy and not with familiarity. 

"Reason best known to me i don’t want a situation where she’ll start looking for answers to solutions not necessary.

Whatever happens or goes on in this Mansion I’m in control, and no one else unless it has been specified by me. 

"I hope I’ve been understood.

Yes Sir they chorused .

What about the food Menu ? I asked.

He turned to look at me for some seconds, well that’s what everyone eats here.

Well I don’t like it. Can’t you at least try to make some amends?.

I’ll see to that Aria. You don’t have to worry about that for now.

Alright.

I believe that’s settled.

I walked towards my room shutting the door behind me. It’s been a hectic day already and I needed to rest.

Luckily they’ve been a good power supply of recent I tried charging up.

"How on earth was Damian able to know I was on a call. 

Oh the CCTV footages I snapped. He must have been monitoring me since I had breakfast

Why would he do that?. Sometimes I wonder if he sleeps or not I mean the securities here we’re just off.
