Chapter 6

It hasn’t been quite long since I arrived at the Mansion. My head still hurts. I tried to figure out what would be my next plan. Honestly Damian keeps getting on my nerves. I get sick and tired of the traumas I’ve been through. I wish I could just run away or something, leaving all this behind. But that’s not going to be possible right now.

The whole building was as quiet as a graveyard; it was as if nobody were at home .

Damian hardly stays at home unless it is something important.

I wish he doesn’t come back early.

Walking down the stairs I tried scavenging the whole place.

This place is a mess I thought to myself.

Hello, is anyone at home ?? 

The mansion was really big, big enough to contain a lot of people.

I was a bit freezing. I had to stay in the sitting room to rest a little since I’ve had a long day.

The space is literally warm, everything is immaculate and controlled.

It’s really strange how nothing here captures warmth. Maybe I’ll need to tell Damian to put some warmth to this place.

I walked to the kitchen and tried to make some lunch for myself. 

I allowed the food to cook for a while. Finally I said to myself while I ate carefully, still trying to figure out while no one was around. 

What exactly would keep Damian this long. The annoying part of this is the fact he left me here all alone with no maids and no security at home aside from the ones he employed outside.

I really hated to be here , the fact I’ll have to see Damian everyday makes me so sick. 

Few moments later i was done eating. 

Just then I saw a notification from Damian on my phone which read “ I’ll be coming home soon make sure you don’t do anything crazy”. 

And that was it.

I rolled my eyes I thought it was something meaningful , but no it’s always his messages that always sound like a threat.

I waited for almost an hour before Damian finally arrived.

He shut the door behind him, walking towards my direction giving me a stern look. I readjusted my body from the couch I laid on.

How long have you been sleeping ? He asked  staring straight into my eyes. Our eyes locked in.

Not long ago I replied..

There was a moment of silence for us. Which was a bit weird.  

Well ... .that's not an issue, I just wanted to know if your okay.

Mmhmm .. yes i stammered my voice was a bit shaky.

You’ll be staying in the guest room from now onwards.

Why

No questions Aria, I'm just doing what’s necessary for the both of us. And I believe you know the reason behind this

I don’t… maybe you should throw more light to that.

You seriously want to not get in trouble don't you? You still haven’t changed this attitude of yours.

Well, you’ll be staying there until our terms are finalized.

He walked past me, shutting the door behind me.

I was so confused at this point I didn’t know what to do.

Damn it I said my hands hitting the Tables in some much anger.

I paced around for some time trying to think.

I gathered some items for the guest room. It was a bit stuffy and all that . 

There’s more work to do here I thought. 

What if I leave ?  I thought 

Besides, it's not like he cares about me or anything but my sister ..

If I did leave I won’t be able to fulfill my sisters wishes. Im trying so hard not to give up but this is draining.

There was a knock on my door.

Who’s that? I asked while still trying to arrange my clothes in the wardrobe

I peeped through the door it was Damian.

What does he want this time around.

I quickly opened the fire

What took you so long Aria? 

I mean , look around Im not comfortable in this space , it’s a bit messy . You couldn’t even get someone to clean up the mess before you allocated the room to me.

You’ll always have something to say Aria, he cut me off but remember you won’t be staying here for long if you try to mess things up.

Dinner will be ready by eight, you’ll do as I say no complaints nothing.

I’ll get some maids to come tidy up this place.

I hope im been understood.

Alright.

He kept standing at that spot watching me for some minutes.

Of all places why did you decide to choose the guest room. It’s not as though im a stranger to you.

What exactly do you want Aria?.

Should I have giving you the boys quarters ?. Is hat what you want ?

Or you want to lay in bed with me?.

It’s not like I would want to you know, Im not trying to start an arguement with you I just need you to understand my point of view.

Okay then noted.

With time you’ll be moved to subsequent rooms the other spaces are been occupied for now.

Do you need anything ?

Asides dinner Im good for now. I said plainly. 

Damian doesn’t want me to trust his actions but rather to obey him, but he still doesn’t try to understand me at times.

I arrived dinner a bit early as my tummy was already grumbling.

I churned quietly while trying to avoid eye contacts with Damian. He wouldn’t say a word to me until it’s necessary.

Our conversations always end up in an arguement.
