Ryker's POV.

"Jayden!" I shouted and ran to him.

I shook him but there was no response from him.

"Jayden, what is happening to you? Jayden!" I yelled but it was useless.

He had passed out already. The mate bond was causing havoc faster than we had thought. He had marked her and that was the problem.

He was far from his imprinted mate.

"I feel so bad for you, brother," I said sadly and carried him from the floor.

I put him over my shoulder and started walking to the car. I was not going to let him carry out any search again until he was fully recovered.

I would have him chained if he woke up and insisted on coming on any of these searches.

I got to the car and put him in the backseat. I thought of taking him to the hospital but decided to take him to the pack house.

It wouldn't be good for rumors to spread around that the King of Crestfall pack was sick again. It would make our kingdom look weak, and that wouldn't be good at all.
