ADRIAN POV

Adrian watched Vanessa freeze in the doorway with her mouth hanging open and felt nothing but utmost satisfaction.

“Oh look who decided to join the party,” he said with a smile that stopped only on his lips. “Little Miss Devil herself.”

Catherine was still standing behind Vanessa looking confused. She tried to step around her but Vanessa wasn’t moving.

“Vanessa, sweetheart, what’s wrong?” Catherine asked.

Adrian stood up from the couch s

  • Too Late To Love Me, Mr Billionaire    The Return

KIRA POVYesterday had been a long but productive day. After the hotel inspection and her meeting with Emily Agada, Kira had treated herself to a solo dinner at a quiet Italian place she’d been meaning to try. Nothing fancy, just good pasta and a glass of wine while she sat with her own thoughts.By the time she got home, it was past nine pm. The kids were already asleep, their bedroom doors closed and the hallway quiet. But upstairs, there was a loud chaotic noise that didn’t belong in the house at that hour.Kira followed the sound up the stairs and down the hall, and it led to Marcus’s room. The door was wide open and security staff were carrying boxes and furniture out into the hallway. Their parents’ household helpers were wrapping things in bubble wrap and packing them into containers.Marcus was moving his things to his own house on the estate. He had a place, a beautiful three or four bedroom home about two hundred yards from the main house. He’d never lived there though, alw

  • Too Late To Love Me, Mr Billionaire    The Manipulation

SOPHIA POVOh my God, could this guy actually shut the fuck up and enjoy this meal without asking dumbass questions?Sophia kept her expression neutral, but internally she was screaming. This was the worst thing she hated the most about relationships. The constant probing, the need to share everything, the pressure to be vulnerable and open like that somehow proved love. She’d been wondering where the whole dinner date idea had come from in the first place. Marcus had seemed so eager this morning, so insistent about taking her out somewhere nice. Now it all made sense. This wasn’t a date, nah it wasn’t, it was an interrogation disguised as romance.Sophia hated going out in public like this anyway, especially with families with big names like the Ashford, it attracts so many unwanted attention. Too many cameras, too many eyes, too much risk of being seen or recognized by someone who might know her real face and real name. But Sapphire was one of those places you didn’t want to miss

  • Too Late To Love Me, Mr Billionaire    The Conversation

MARCUS POVMarcus reached across the table and took Sophia’s hands in his, rubbing his thumbs gently across her knuckles. Then he raised his other hand and caught the attention of their waiter with a quick gesture. The young man appeared at their table almost instantly, rubbing his palm on the apron trying to straighten it, his posture straight and attentive.“Can I see your manager?” Marcus asked. The waiter nodded and bowed his head slightly. “Yes sir, right away.”He disappeared toward the back of the restaurant and Marcus kept holding Sophia’s hand, feeling how tense she’d become since they walked in.Within a minute, a middle-aged man dressed in a sharp black suit approached their table. Unlike the waiters in their burgundy uniforms, this man clearly held the authority here.“Mr. Ashford, welcome to Sapphire. It’s an honor to have you dining with us tonight.”“Yeah, thank you.” Marcus gestured toward the front windows where flashes could still be seen going off outside. “Can you

  • Too Late To Love Me, Mr Billionaire    Sophia And Marcus

MARCUS POVMarcus woke up to sunlight streaming through the curtains and stretched his arms above his head. The bed felt too comfortable. He’d slept in way later than usual. He rolled over expecting to find Sophia beside him, but her side of the bed was empty. The sheets were cool to the touch, which meant she’d been up for a while. It was Monday morning. The house would be empty by now. The kids would be at school, Kira would be out handling business like she always was, and his parents would be somewhere in the garden where they spent half their days tending to the roses and arguing about which fertilizer worked best.Marcus sat up and rubbed his eyes. He and Sophia needed this day together. There had been a weird vibe between them for the past three days, ever since that dinner when she’d asked Kira about Elijah. He couldn’t quite put his finger on what was off, but something definitely was.Maybe it was just stress. Work had been busy for both of them. Or maybe it was living under

  • Too Late To Love Me, Mr Billionaire    The Investigation Begins

KIRA POVTwo days had passed since that incident with Sophia, and Kira still couldn’t shake the unease feeling sitting heavy in her chest. It wasn’t that deep. Or maybe it was, she honestly couldn’t tell anymore. On one hand, accusing someone of something without proof was wrong. Investigating someone just because you had a bad feeling about them was invasive and paranoid. Kira knew that. She’d be furious if someone did it to her.But on the other hand, her mother had felt it too. Elena Ashford wasn’t the type to make snap judgments about people. She was warm, welcoming, and gave everyone the benefit of the doubt. So when she’d pulled Kira aside after that dinner and quietly told her to keep her eyes open around Sophia, it had meant something.Sometimes people aren’t what they seem. That’s what her mother had said. And Kira couldn’t stop thinking about it.The Ashford estate was massive. Her parents’ main house sat in the center of the property with its sprawling gardens and perfectly

  • Too Late To Love Me, Mr Billionaire    The Doubts

MARCUS POVMarcus woke up to sunlight streaming through his bedroom window and Sophia’s arm wrapped across his chest. They’d been together for seven months now and everything had been good. Better than good, actually. Sophia was smart, funny, and supportive. She got along with his family and made him happy.Marcus carefully moved her arm and slid out of bed without waking her. He grabbed his phone from the nightstand and walked downstairs to make coffee. The house was awfully quiet. His parents were probably already up and out for their morning walk. Kira was likely still asleep since it was Sunday and she never got up early on Sundays if she could help it.Marcus started the coffee maker and leaned against the counter while it brewed. His mind kept circling back to last night at dinner. The question Sophia had asked about Kira and Elijah and insisted that he had told her about the breakup even though he absolutely hadn’t. He remembered that conversation with Elijah clearly. It had b
