LOGINScarlett’s POV
I returned to my room slowly, closing the door behind me. For a moment, I just stood there quietly. Then I walked to the bed and sat down, my fingers tightening around my phone. Then I opened the photo Usher had sent. I stared at it for a long time. In my previous life, I always believed I was nothing but an Omega, an orphan. Someone with no background, no family, no value. The entire pack looked down on me. Ignored me, avoided me. And then… Killian appeared. He married me. Gave me a place. A name. I thought he saved me. I was so grateful. So stupid. A bitter smile formed on my lips. I gave him everything. I worked day and night in the lab. I helped him develop drug after drug. I pushed my body to its limit just so he could shine in front of the Council. And in the end… He only wanted my ability. Nothing more. My fingers tightened. “This time…” I whispered softly, “you will get nothing from me.” Just then, I heard a knock on the door, jolting me out of my thoughts. “Come in,” I said calmly. The door opened and Leo walked in. My eyes softened for a brief second… then turned cold again. In his hands was a glass of hot milk. "Mom…” he said quietly, avoiding my eyes. “I’m sorry for earlier.” I didn’t respond. “I shouldn’t have spoken to you like that,” he continued. “I was wrong.” He walked closer and placed the glass on the table beside me. “I brought you milk,” he said. “Please drink it.” My gaze slowly moved to the glass milk. In my past life… this was where it started. Every night, he brought me milk. Every night, I drank it. Thinking it was love. Thinking it was care. But instead… It was poison. My beloved son was poisoning me My health slowly got worse after that. And I never questioned it. My chest tightened. I looked at Leo. His face looked innocent, obedient just like before. But now… I could see through it. My heart ached. This boy… The boy I loved with all my heart was the one who helped destroy me. “Leave it there,” I said calmly. He nodded and set the milk down, reminded me that Killian wanted to see me downstairs, and left. The moment the door clicked shut, I picked up my phone and called Mira , my Delta, one of the few people in this pack whose loyalty I had genuinely earned through years of quiet, consistent fairness. She picked up on the first ring. "Mira. Come to my room. There's a glass of milk on my table. I need it taken to the lab and tested before morning. Don't touch it with your bare hands." "Understood, Ma'am." She replied. I leaned back slightly, closing my eyes. My suspicions will be confirmed soon. ...... When I went downstairs, I immediately saw Killian and Tiffany. She was holding his arm, smiling sweetly. The moment she saw me, she slowly let go. Like she didn’t want me to misunderstand. I almost laughed. Too late. I already know everything. “Scarlett,” Killian called. I walked closer, my expression calm. “I have something to discuss with you,” he said. I nodded. “Go ahead.” “Tiffany will be joining the company,” he said. Of course. I glanced at Tiffany. She lowered her head shyly, but I could see the pride in her eyes. “She found a way to suppress silver poison,” Killian continued. “If this research succeeds, it will help me pass the Council’s test.” I almost smiled. Suppress? Not cure? So she still doesn’t understand the formula. Good. Very good. "That's a wonderful idea," I said. "Actually... I think Tiffany should take over the silver poisoning research entirely. I've been meaning to take a few days away. This works out perfectly." The silence that followed was almost entertaining. Both of them blinked. Neither of them had been prepared for that. "I... are you sure?" Killian said. "Completely." I covered a small yawn with my hand. "I'm exhausted, honestly. I need rest. Tiffany can handle it. She clearly has ideas. It's fine." Killian opened his mouth, like he wanted to say something. But I had already turned away. “I’m going upstairs,” I said. “I need rest.” And without waiting for his reply, I walked away. ......... The next morning, I got ready early. Today… I am leaving. Not forever. But at least, I would start building my own place. My own life. I got into the car and drove toward the Valley Wolf Pack. The house I wanted was there, right at the border between Silver Moon and the Valley. Perfect. Close enough to watch everything. Far enough to stay away. A small smile appeared on my lips. “This time… I choose myself.” ......... The Valley Wolf Pack’s auction house was even more beautiful than I remembered. It has large gates, tall walls, and guards everywhere. Inside, you could buy anything; rare herbs, precious crystals, even mansions. Power and wealth. Everything gathered in one place. I stepped forward, calm and confident. But before I could enter, a guard blocked my way. “Stop.” I paused. Another guard stepped closer… then sniffed the air. His expression changed instantly with disgust. “An Omega?” he said sharply. “Get lost.” My eyes turned cold. “Omegas are not allowed inside,” he continued. “This place is not for you.” I took a slow breath. “I’m here for the auction,” I said calmly. He laughed. “Did you not hear me? Leave!” He groaned. “I have the right to be here,” I said, my voice steady. He crossed his arms. “And what right is that?” I looked him straight in the eye. “I am the successor of the Moonlight Pack’s Alpha.” There was silence, then laughter. Not just from the guards. But also from behind me. I turned to see a young woman standing a few feet away, flanked by guards. I recognized her immediately, though she clearly didn't recognize me. She's Julie. Daughter of the Red Moon Pack's Alpha. I had seen her before… from a distance. At a wolf feast. But she didn’t recognize me. Of course she didn’t. To people like her… I was invisible. “You?” she laughed. “Moonlight Pack?” She walked closer, looking me up and down. “I’ve never heard that Alpha Arther has a daughter,” she said mockingly. “And even if he did… it definitely wouldn’t be an Omega like you.” Her words were sharp. But this time they didn’t hurt. They just made me feel… cold. “Do you know the punishment for impersonating an Alpha’s heir?” she continued, her smile turning cruel. “You should be careful.” I didn’t respond. I didn’t even look at her again. Instead, I took out my phone and dialed Usher’s number. But before the call could connect... “Hey!” Julie’s voice turned sharp. “How dare you ignore me?” I still didn’t respond. I simply held my phone to my ear. Her anger exploded as she glared at me with rage. In the next second, she shifted. Her claws extended. Her aura flared. “I’ll teach you a lesson,” she growled, ready to attack me. Gasps filled the entrance as the guards stepped backward.ScarlettJust then, I heard a soft knock on the door. "Luna?"I turned around and Amelia stood at the doorway again. "There are fresh flowers for you."I frowned. "Flowers?""Yes."She stepped inside carrying an elegant arrangement of white lilies and blue roses."There wasn't a sender's name."Curiosity flickered through me.I accepted the bouquet before noticing a small handwritten card tucked between the flowers.I pulled it out carefully. The handwriting was neat and elegant."Congratulations on another successful partnership. Someone is quietly cheering for you."There was no signature.. Nothing else.I read the sentence twice and a strange warmth settled inside my chest.Somehow... Without seeing the name...I already knew exactly who had sent them. I knew it was Dominic.A smile slowly appeared on my face.It was small.Almost impossible to notice. Yet it reached my eyes. Amelia noticed immediately. "Oh..." She folded her arms. "Now I understand."I looked up innocently. "Unde
Scarlett's POV The next day, I sat in my office, staring at the message Killian sent me last night. I stared at it for a while then, I placed it gently on my desk before leaning back against my chair. A slow breath escaped my lips. The office was quiet again, yet Killian's stunned voice from our yesterday conversation, continued echoing inside my head. "Fifty percent?" I closed my eyes briefly. No. It had never been about the company. It had never been about money. It had never been about taking what belonged to him. If he truly believed I wanted half of Silver Moon Pharmaceuticals because I was greedy, then he had never known me at all. Not even after all these years. A bitter smile tugged at my lips. Perhaps that was the saddest part. He had lived beside me, shared a home with me and called me his wife. Yet he never understood the woman standing beside him. A soft knock interrupted my thoughts. "Come in." Amelia pushed the door open carefully. She immediately no

Dominic I glanced at my parents again. The guilty pair immediately looked away.Suspicious.Very suspicious."Tell me the truth."My father coughed. My mother suddenly became fascinated by the scenery outside.I narrowed my eyes. "You planned this."Both of them looked innocent.Far too innocent.Which only confirmed my suspicion. My father's beard twitched, a sign he was trying not to smile."You planned this." I said again. This time my mother broke first. She laughed.Actually laughed."There is no point hiding it anymore."I groaned. "I knew it."My father chuckled. "We were curious.""Curious?" I stared at them. "You disappeared for six hours because you were curious?"My mother nodded shamelessly. "We wanted to meet her."I nearly choked. "You what?"My father folded his arms. "I was told that you have been smiling at your phone for days."I immediately sat upright. "I do not smile at my phone."Both of them stared at me.My mother laughed so hard tears nearly formed in her eye
Scarlett Mrs. Clinton walked over and pulled mw into a hug.The unexpected affection caught me completely off guard."My dear." Her voice softened. "Thank you."Something tightened painfully in my chest.Nobody had ever hugged me like that before.I hugged her back a little awkwardly. But sincerely.Mr. Clinton joined us moments later. "You have a beautiful heart."My eyes stung unexpectedly.I quickly blinked, refusing to cry. Because that would be embarrassing.Mrs. Clinton smiled. "You must visit us sometime."I blinked. "What?"She nodded enthusiastically. "Come visit.""We would love that." Mr. Clinton agreed immediately. "Very much."I looked toward Dominic. He looked just as helpless as I felt which somehow made me feel better.I laughed softly. "If I find the time, I will."Mrs. Clinton immediately looked triumphant. "As long as that is not a rejection."I shook my head. "It is not."The woman looked delighted.Eventually, after another twenty minutes of conversation, the fam
Scarlett's POVI stood by the large window, staring at the convoy that continued entering my compound. The expensive black SUVs seemed endless. Each vehicle was accompanied by highly trained guards wearing dark suits and earpieces. The atmosphere instantly changed.Even my guards straightened their backs. The casual mood that had filled the room moments ago disappeared completely.I frowned.Just who exactly was their son?Beside me, Mrs. Clinton smiled knowingly."He is here."I glanced at her.For some reason, she looked far too pleased with herself.Almost as though she was waiting for something entertaining to happen. The sound of car doors opening echoed through the compound. My guards immediately became alert, several moved toward the entrance.Others discreetly positioned themselves around the house. One of them looked outside and suddenly stiffened. The reaction did not escape my notice. My curiosity deepened, then the main vehicle stopped. The rear door opened. And a familiar

Scarlett's POV I stood beside my father's body until the doctors came to prepare him. Then I stepped outside, leaned against the cold corridor wall, closed my eyes, and gave myself exactly sixty seconds to fall apart. Sixty seconds. That was all I could afford.
