After discovering that my CEO wife, Sabrina Greyson, was putting her divorced best friend, Martin Crawford, and his child over our family, I started teaching our son Leo to call her ‘Ms. Greyson’. Martin called Sabrina away late at night when Leo had a fever, and she went. I touched Leo's hot forehead and asked him to bid her goodbye. We had agreed to accompany Leo to his school’s parent-teacher meeting when Martin called in tears, saying that his son, Teddy, did not have a mother to accompany him. Sabrina just left without hesitation. I did not even look up as I handed my phone to Leo, asking him to pose as Sabrina and make up an excuse in the parents' chat group for why she could no longer make it. Leo hesitated for ages, like he did every time. Eventually, Sabrina finally realized her indebtedness to us and proposed that the whole family take a family photo together. Outside the photo studio, Martin called again, sobbing down the line, "Sabrina, could you pick Teddy up from school now? The other kids at kindergarten are making fun of him for not having a mother..." Pity flashed across Sabrina's face. She was about to squat down to explain to Leo, but he waved her off without me needing to remind him. "It's okay, Ms. Greyson. You can accompany that other kid you have outside. Dad and I are the only people needed in the Norris family photo."

Chapter 1

After our son, Leo Norris, finished speaking, Sabrina Greyson and I both froze.

During the twenty-eight days since I realized Sabrina's heart was no longer with our family, every time she abandoned Leo and me because of Martin Crawford, I would have Leo call her ‘Ms. Greyson’ to remind both myself and Leo not to waste our tears on someone who was not worth it.

However, Leo thought otherwise. He was only seven years old, the age when one relied the most on one’s mother. Every time I asked him to call Sabrina Ms. Greyson, he would hesitate for a long time before whispering, ‘Ms. Greyson’.

However, he did it on his own today. He called her that smoothly and naturally, as if the word had been rehearsed countless times in his mind.

Seeing us both frozen, Leo took my hand and said to Sabrina, "Ms. Greyson, go do your thing."

Then he looked at me. "Dad, let's go. We're gonna be late."

He took my hand and led me toward the photo studio, one step at a time.

Taking a family photo was something Sabrina had proposed to make up for missing Leo's parent-teacher meeting. Leo had been looking forward to it for half a month.

I followed him stiffly, my heart feeling like it was weighed down by a stone, so heavy that it made me want to cry.

The discovery of Sabrina's infidelity was accidental.

She went to celebrate Martin's son, Teddy Crawford's, birthday and forgot the family tickets in her pocket when she came back. There were three Universal Studios tickets.

For Leo's sixth birthday, he wished for the whole family to go to Universal Studios to see his favorite characters, the Minions. Sabrina thought it was childish and refused without hesitation. However, she went with Teddy a few days later.

I found Martin's Instagram post on Sabrina's phone.

[Visiting the most magical place in the world with the most amazing mother.]

It was the caption for a photo of Sabrina, Martin, and Teddy.

Martin was her first love, and he was divorced with a child.

That night, we had our most intense argument. I insisted on getting a divorce and keeping custody of Leo.

Sabrina accused me of being unreasonable. She asked how I could bear to let Leo be without his mother. She swore to God that she only felt pity for Martin.

Seeing Leo's visibly pale face, I almost bit my lip until it bled.

I knew he would never forget Sabrina if I took him away, but I also knew the same thing would keep happening if we stayed.

I refused to let Leo suffer because of her so-called sympathy, so I chose another way. I tricked Sabrina into signing divorce papers, but I quietly gave her thirty days.

If Sabrina came to her senses within those thirty days, I would pretend nothing ever happened for Leo's sake.
