~ Aria's POV ~

Lying on my bed, I couldn't stop thinking about Lucian's words. They echoed relentlessly in my mind, refusing to let me go. What did he do to save me?

I sighed tirelessly as I couldn't make any meaning out of his words. I really saw the pain in his eyes when he lashed out at me.

Was I too harsh on him?

I wouldn't have done that if he had just listened to me, and now I feel like I’m the villain in his story.

"Aria Nightshade, you're needed in my office," Miss Hellcat spoke loudly out of nowhere, snapping me out of my thoughts.

What does she want now?

Then it hit me—Raven had warned me she’d be pissed about us spending the night outside the Academy.

She can fuss about that, yet she can turn a blind eye to the escalating violence between the werewolves and vampires.

If I were a science student, I'd have just used her for a failed experiment, because she can never be useful at a time when you need her the most.
