Chapter 110

Alexander's POV

The world was dull and grey. There was no other way to explain it. I spent my days saying ‘yes’ over one hundred times, nodding my head enough to get a crick in my neck and smiling so much that my face was beginning to ache, and I was worried that my face would change to stay that way.

One wouldn’t think that I was a prince destined for one of the greatest kingdoms in the world. No, these people were making me their puppets. In fact, they’d already started doing that a long time ago; it had only just taken me this long to realise it.

My mother had been playing with my strings from the moment I was born, and I was used as a chess piece to knock my brother off the board. And though I’m sure she loved me, I also knew her hatred for Kai was stronger than the love she held for her own son.

And now, even though I’d opened my eyes to all the manipulation in the palace, I hadn’t done anything about it because my mother had exploited my one weakness. Alyssa.

I shook my head,

  • Torn Between The Alpha Princes   Chapter 109

Alyssa's POV I didn’t think I’d ever seen Kai so furious as when my father had told us the decision that had been made after his audience with the Alpha King and the Luna Queen. Not banishment, but disownment, and to plan the Royal Wedding? It was insulting to be a maid in the palace again after what happened last time,I should’ve felt angry, but this would be the perfect opportunity, not just to keep tabs on Vivian and Freya during my time there, but to find Alexander, find out what really happened and to warn him about the potential threat. Yes, I didn’t have any proof that the plan was to go that far, but there was no way Vivian would be satisfied with ‘almost’ full power considering the things she’d done already.Perhaps they wouldn’t assassinate Alexander right away, without an heir, the throne would fall back onto Kai’s shoulders. However, if they were to have a child, Alexander might suffer a similar fate to Alpha Aaron. It seemed he didn’t get sick until after Freya had been

Kai's POVAlpha Henry had gone to visit my father to appeal the verdict, which I wasn’t complaining about. It meant that I could stay in his house and flirt with his daughter without feeling his eyes burning into the back of my head. I swear to the Moon Goddess every time I so much as looked at Alyssa, whilst he was here, he’d be glaring daggers at me. No, I could sit comfortably with Alyssa in the library, eyes roaming over her like she was some ethereal beauty. Everything Alyssa did, she did with purpose; even just flicking through the pages of books, she was stunning. The light of the library caught her in a way that made her glow. She was so beautiful.I lifted a hand, curling a strand of her long, brown hair around my fingertips and brought it to my lips. When I looked up at her, she was still reading, but blushing violently as she read the book. I smirked, finding it cute how she was trying to stay composed, reading through her pack’s history, so I upped my game.I shifted mys

  • Torn Between The Alpha Princes   Chapter 107

Alpha Henry's POVIt wasn’t in my nature to feel fear and anxiety. I was an Alpha. I was born and bred to be a leader, to be dominant and to be confident. But I was no longer in my territory. I was facing the Alpha King and Luna Queen, truly opposing them for the first time in my life.I’d requested the audience with Their Majesties after I’d finished reading Alpha Aaron’s diary and spoken to Alyssa. I hadn’t given them all the details, partly because I still had things to figure out, but also because my priority was keeping Alyssa home, safe and sound. They responded quickly, and I left as soon as I knew the pack would be under the care of Vivian and my Beta. He had instructions to report any suspicious activity about Vivian back to me and keep track of it. So there I was, kneeling in front of the rulers of our kingdom with my head bowed, trying to show as much respect as I possibly could.“Alpha Henry,” The Alpha King’s voice was clear and loud as he spoke, “You have come here to

  • Torn Between The Alpha Princes   Chapter 106

Alyssa's POVI instructed one of the guards at the gate to send Kai up to my room once he was finished distracting Caleb… Which could’ve taken a while as Caleb was quite the excitable kid and he seemed to be very attached to the prince, but either way I was willing to wait.According to my father, I wasn’t going anywhere which meant I had more time here than I initially thought. As much as I was grateful to my father that he was supporting me for once, a darker part of me couldn’t help but still be bitter at how he had abandoned me five years ago. I was an adult now, I could take care of myself, but the thirteen year old me who was forced to endure in the Red Maple Camp needed her father, and he wasn’t there. My room was tidier than when I left it when I was taken to the palace to be the Luna Queen’s personal maid. My bed had been made, my dirty laundry was gone from the basket, the room had been aired out et cetera. I did check my mattress before sitting down, remembering how Vivian

  • Torn Between The Alpha Princes   Chapter 105

Alpha Henry's POVI forgot how long I’d been reading for. I read the diary once, then read it again. I had to read it about five times, scanning every page for clues or hidden meanings that I might have missed. More than anything, I was trying to convince myself that there was no reason to doubt Vivian, no reason that I should’ve opened the diary up in the first place. But everything came crashing down in those few hours I was reading. The first time, I thought maybe it couldn’t be true, maybe there was a mistake. But the more I kept reading, the more I could see that Vivian wasn’t the woman I thought she was. Firstly, to keep her daughter from her father, that was crueller than I could’ve imagined my wife to be. Then to have an affair? I re-read that entry a few times, and doubt began to gnaw at the back of my mind. All those times Vivian had said she was tired before disappearing for hours, all those times during celebrations where she’d be next to me one second, then gone the ne
