Alyssa's POV

I didn’t think I’d ever seen Kai so furious as when my father had told us the decision that had been made after his audience with the Alpha King and the Luna Queen.

Not banishment, but disownment, and to plan the Royal Wedding? It was insulting to be a maid in the palace again after what happened last time,

I should’ve felt angry, but this would be the perfect opportunity, not just to keep tabs on Vivian and Freya during my time there, but to find Alexander, find out what really happened and to warn him about the potential threat. Yes, I didn’t have any proof that the plan was to go that far, but there was no way Vivian would be satisfied with ‘almost’ full power considering the things she’d done already.

Perhaps they wouldn’t assassinate Alexander right away, without an heir, the throne would fall back onto Kai’s shoulders. However, if they were to have a child, Alexander might suffer a similar fate to Alpha Aaron. It seemed he didn’t get sick until after Freya had been

Kai’s POV It was a quick journey to return to the Ice Heart Pack, and it pained me to admit that Alyssa had beaten me there, but I still insist that flying above the trees instead of dodging them is cheating. I suppose that’s just my opinion. When we returned, there were celebrations being put in place for the upcoming wedding as Alexander and Freya would complete a ‘Marriage Tour’, where they visited all the packs in the Lunar Kingdom to show themselves and receive blessings. The thought of that woman parading around my kingdom as if she were important made me bristle. But this also meant that Alpha Henry and Vivian would be at the Palace, and there would be no one to stop Alyssa and me from snooping. Or at least, that’s what I thought. As Alyssa and I stepped onto the Pack ground and headed towards the Pack House, two warriors stopped us, weapons drawn and guarding the door.“How fucking dare you?” I said deeply and slowly, relishing in the fear that had begun to stir in their ey

  • Torn Between The Alpha Princes   Chapter 113

Alyssa's POVA week had passed since I returned to the palace and was placed in charge of the wedding between Alexander and Freya. I had done my job, planning in as much detail as I could, as quickly as I could, so I could return home. Father had sent me word that he was worried about me, but there was no time for me to respond or ask him how he was doing. I wouldn’t worry about Vivian moving onto the next stage of his plan, not whilst father still sent me letters, that was. Kai had come with me to the palace, but we hadn’t had much time together due to his duties as a general, which he’d fallen behind on, and my own work on the upcoming wedding. That didn’t stop us from stealing glances and kisses from each other as often as we could. Thankfully, I didn’t see much of Freya after our last conversation before the library incident. But that meant I also didn’t get to see Alexander, either. The two were practically hanging off of each other every moment I had the unfortunate timing of

  • Torn Between The Alpha Princes   Chapter 112

Alyssa's POVI never thought Alyssa would ever look scary to me, but seeing the way she was glowering, the guarded body language and the way other servants had mysteriously disappeared from the library, I couldn’t help but gulp as my blood turned to ice.Would she kill me?No, no Alyssa wouldn’t do that…Would she?As if reading my mind, Alyssa scoffed and rolled her eyes, “By the Goddess, even if we’re alone, I’m still not the biggest threat in the room.”I was half tempted to argue. I’d seen Alyssa completely destroy a male wolf who was almost double her size with only the second time she’d managed to shift into her wolf. I’d now known her to have escaped the highest security and cruellest prison the kingdom had and rally not one, not two, not even three, but four Alphas to her side when she was in danger… and she wasn’t even there! So the fact that she could stand in front of me with a straight face and say “I’m not the biggest threat in the room,” was almost laughable. But I didn

  • Torn Between The Alpha Princes   Chapter 111

Alyssa’s POV The second I stepped back into the palace, I knew where I’d have to go. As a maid and with Alexander following me around to keep me safe, I knew all of his hideouts. There were the gardens, his room, but the one I knew best was the library. It was calm and quiet, a good kind of quiet that let Alexander relax when things got too much for him. So, after I was changed and my duties were explained, that was the first place I was going to look. I was practically unnoticed by the senior staff, the lower-levelled ones with whom I worked side by side gave me a look as they saw me return from wherever they thought I’d been. They didn’t interact with me, and I was somewhat glad of it. I thought I’d be able to get to the library easily and without much struggle, considering how everyone was acting around me, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.Just as I was about to round the corner to the library, I heard my name being called.“Alyssa!” Freya’s voice echoed across the hall

Alexander's POV The world was dull and grey. There was no other way to explain it. I spent my days saying ‘yes’ over one hundred times, nodding my head enough to get a crick in my neck and smiling so much that my face was beginning to ache, and I was worried that my face would change to stay that way. One wouldn’t think that I was a prince destined for one of the greatest kingdoms in the world. No, these people were making me their puppets. In fact, they’d already started doing that a long time ago; it had only just taken me this long to realise it.My mother had been playing with my strings from the moment I was born, and I was used as a chess piece to knock my brother off the board. And though I’m sure she loved me, I also knew her hatred for Kai was stronger than the love she held for her own son.And now, even though I’d opened my eyes to all the manipulation in the palace, I hadn’t done anything about it because my mother had exploited my one weakness. Alyssa.I shook my head,
