Ella POV

It's been days after my escape and finding my mate, who knew life would take a drastic turn, from the constant pain I get to never-ending love from my mate and childhood friend.

It is one of the best times to travel out of the pack. We switch to our wolf and run in the woods for some time and find a place to sleep for sometime. I went bathing in the refreshing cold water in the nearby waterfall, and returned to where we camp for the night, my damp long hair cascading in loose waves down my shoulders. I can feel Aiden's mesmerising eyes fixed on me, pausing his task of grilling the deer he caught for our breakfast, he smiles warmly at me, making my heart flutter.

"Feeling refreshed, my love?" Aiden's voice was laced with affection as he took in my glistening body in the sun as I wore my clothes.

I nodded, the cool droplets of water still clinging to my skin. "The waterfall is truly magical. It cleansed both my body and soul."

He reached out to me, his touch gentle yet electrifying as he ran his fingers through my damp locks. "You are like a nymph of the forest, enchanting and ethereal."

A blush crept across my cheeks, something I kept doing under his gaze, I lowered my face, unable to meet his intense stare. "You never had your way with words before, Aide. You were always the silent type."

His hand cupped my chin, lifting my face to meet his gaze. "I do even now, but not for you. I adore everything about you, Ella. Since when we were young, Your resilience, your compassion, your unwavering spirit. You are the light in my life."

I couldn't help but smile at his words, he told me he admires and has had feelings for me since we were little. But he only talks little and has and doesn't show his emotion in his face. And warmth spread through my chest. "I never thought I would find love in the midst of such darkness. But here we are, bound by fate and the depths of our hearts." I uttered, hugging him deeply.

Aiden returned to grilling the meat, he told me he learned all this from the legendary alpha he went to train from him. And I was amazed because he did change a lot. From physically and emotionally. Who would have been the lanky emotionless boy when he was little.

The tantalising aroma of the grilling hit my nose and broke the hug, hearing my tummy rumble at the sweet aroma.

"Okay, it's food time."

And we sat together, our bodies close, eating the delicious meat, prepared with love.

"I must say, you have quite the talent for hunting," I remarked, taking a bite of the meat. "This is absolutely delicious."

Aiden grinned, a glimmer of pride shining in his eyes. "I trained from the best, of best, my love. I wanted to become stronger, to protect you and our future together." He spoke with determination in his eyes, saying he's telling the truth, and it makes me feel at ease. It relaxed every fibre of my being. His words stirred a tender ache within me, a longing for the life we were building together. "Aide, what do you envision for us? For our pack and Jayden?"

He paused, his gaze turning distant as he considered my question. "I wish to rule together with Jayden in equal terms, where we rule our pack with love, loyalty, and unity. A place where everyone feels valued and protected. And for us, I see a future filled with unwavering love and a bond that can withstand any storm."

My heart swelled with hope and anticipation. "I want that too, Aiden. To create a pack that fosters a sense of belonging and acceptance for all. And to have a love that defies all odds." I let out a relieved sigh and Lea, nozzle within me, she feels comfortable now more than ever, her presence a comforting reminder of the unity we shared.

"Okay, let's get going right. I can't wait to see everyone at home."

....

"Let's rest here tonight and by tomorrow we'll reach the pack." Aiden called out through my mind, shifting back from his wolf. I stare at his wolf, the adorable white pub is now, matured and muscled up. Tall, strong and powerful, his beautiful white fur, and a black patch on his eye makes him stand out. I always love it. I trace my finger on his black patch and Black nuzzle, wanting me to touch him more.

"Black, you miss me too?" I asked as he let a haul as a yes. Lea hauled back at him. 'I miss you too.' We set up for the night and ate dinner under the moonlight.

I was nervous about meeting the pack. We already entered our pack territory. Earlier Aiden talked to his dad, Alpha Brian, about coming back tomorrow and he shared the news of he found me and his mate.

I stared at the fire crackling and chewing on an apple. Aiden saw my concerned face and came closer to me.

"Nervous?" He asked "Don't be you can't believe how many months Alpha Brian did searching for you and his beta. They're all happy about your return." He smiled. "Mom's is organising a welcome party for you too."

"I ... Just can't believe it. It...it's like a dream." I wipe away a stray tear and my heart is filled with many emotions. Happy. Anxiety. Nervous. Sad. Relief.

He turned to look at me. I blinked, making another tear slide down my face, he licked it away. Staring into my eyes, and I stare into his honey-coloured eyes, melting me under his gaze. "It's finally over. Don't worry. I'm here now, and won't let anything happen to you." I nod and he pulled me closer, his lips closing the gaps between us, touching mine.

With the fire crackling, our bodies entwined, we surrendered to the rhythm of our hearts, and its beats syncing in perfect harmony. We were lost in time, indulged in a symphony of passion and tenderness, savouring each moment as if it were our last.

Exhausted yet euphoric, we lay together under the moonlit canopy of the forest, our bodies intertwined and our breaths still mingling in the air. The world around us seemed to fade away, leaving only the pulsating energy of our love.

Aiden's fingers traced delicate patterns along my skin, sending shivers of pleasure coursing through my body. His voice, laced with a hint of awe, broke the serene silence. "I never imagined that love could feel this powerful, this all-consuming. It's as if the universe itself conspired to bring us together."

I nestled closer to him, relishing the warmth and safety of his embrace. "Our love is a force of nature, Aide. It transcends boundaries and defies logic. I'm grateful to have you as my mate."

Lea nuzzled within me, feeling the warmth of his body, a silent affirmation of the bond we shared. The night enveloped us, and we lay in quiet contentment, basking in the afterglow of our lovemaking. I traced circles on his broad warm chest, my voice barely above a whisper. "Do you ever wonder what lies ahead for us, Aide? The challenges and responsibility we will face as Alpha and Luna?"

Aiden's eyes softened, his gaze fixed on mine. "There is no doubt that we will face trials and tribulations, Ella. But with the strength of our love and the unwavering support of our pack, Jayden and his mate by our side, we will overcome anything that comes our way. Together, we are invincible."

His words vibrate in me and strengthen my sense of determination. We were destined for greatness, for a future that would transform not only our lives but the lives of those we led. I knew that the path ahead would be fraught with obstacles, but with the twins by my side, I would be ready to face anything head-on. Then I can take my revenge on Alpha River and find whoever is responsible for my parents death.

Leaning in, our lips met again, in a tender kiss, sealing our commitment to each other and to the journey that lay ahead. In that moment, time stood still, and I could feel the power of our love radiating through every fibre of my being.

The night deepened and the stars shimmered above us, we lay entwined, our souls bound together in an unbreakable union. We drifted into a peaceful slumber, knowing that tomorrow would bring new challenges, but also new opportunities for us to grow, love, and conquer and a new beginning.

  • Torn Between The Alpha Twins   Chapter 104 - The Aftermath

Ella's POVSeveral days passed swiftly as I regained my strength under the healers' diligent care. Soon I was able to move about freely and assist with the countless tasks required to restore order. Clearing rubble and digging mass pyres was sombre work, but it felt good to be useful again with my own two hands. The days of idleness had grated. When not busy with some menial but necessary duty, I spent hours with my precious daughter, singing lullabies to soothe her when the fortress's unfamiliar sounds proved frightening. Watching the pack experience the simple joys of sunlight on her face or wind in her fine hair grounded me through the chaos. The living yet commanded my devotion, not only the tragic dead. I could not dwell forever amidst ashes and ghosts. My brave mates also recovered apace, their resilience never failing to lift my spirit when they limped stiffly into view. Leaning on each other, we three made the rounds speaking words of comfort or stern encouragement as neede

Ella's POVA bone-chilling roar of agony echoed across the ravaged valley, cutting through the cacophony of battle like a knife. All fighting ceased for a suspended heartbeat as heads turned toward the sound's source. There, framed against the smoke-choked sky, stood the hulking form of River, face contorted in berserk rage. At his feet sprawled the mangled remains of his Luna Scarlet, her glassy eyes fixed unseeing on the ruin she had summoned forth. The sight seemed to shatter some fragile restraint on River's madness, his anguished bellow almost inhuman in its force. With slavering fury he turned on the cringing warriors nearby, spittle flying from his peeled-back lips. "Treacherous curse!" He yelled."You will all bleed for this!" His crazed scream promised endless torment as he backhanded the nearest fighter flying bonelessly.
