A bone-chilling roar of agony echoed across the ravaged valley, cutting through the cacophony of battle like a knife.

All fighting ceased for a suspended heartbeat as heads turned toward the sound's source.

There, framed against the smoke-choked sky, stood the hulking form of River, face contorted in berserk rage.

At his feet sprawled the mangled remains of his Luna Scarlet, her glassy eyes fixed unseeing on the ruin she had summoned forth.
