:The red Dress

I was sitting in the lecture, but my mind was elsewhere—I was thinking about tonight's dinner. Why did I even bother inviting my so-called family? The last thing I wanted was to see their fake smiles.

"Miss Adams."

I flinched and looked up to see Mr. Davis standing in front of me.

"Yes?" I smiled slightly.

"I believe your attention is elsewhere. I expect you to be more focused during my lecture."

Great. Just what I needed.

"I apologize. I'll be more attentive from now on."

He turned around and walked back to his desk.

When the lecture finally ended, I stood up, grabbed my bag, and turned around—only to nearly bump into Mr. Davis.

"Sorry," I said quickly, stepping back. What the hell? Why was he standing so close?

"I didn't mean to startle you," he said with a smile, sliding his hands into his pockets.

"Miss Adams, I heard you sometimes assist other professors. Would you mind helping me as well?"

"I'm sorry, but I don't have the time. I work after university, and I've on

Too Close to Breathe:EvelineDay Two…The noise woke me. The voices sounded familiar, so I pushed myself up and rubbed my eyes, trying to shake off the sleep. A moment later I realized—it was Nana and Margaret. I jumped out of bed, grabbed whatever clothes my hand touched in the wardrobe, threw them on, and walked out of the room. The moment I stepped outside, everyone turned to look at me.“Good morning,” I said quietly.Nana covered her mouth with her hand, her eyes instantly filling with tears as she hurried toward me.“Oh, my precious girl…” She cupped my face so gently, studying me from head to toe, then pulled me into a tight embrace. “I missed you so much, and you didn’t even remember your poor old woman. Is this how you forget me?”“I’m sorry, Nana.” I wrapped my arms around her just as tightly. “I missed you too. I was going to come, but… so much has happened.”“I’ve already forgiven you,” she said softly, stepping back while still holding my hands. Her gaze grew sad. “We he

:Just Us Eveline As soon as we got home, Dante walked through every room, checking corners as if he were looking for something. I asked what he was searching for, but he simply answered, “Nothing.” When he finally finished, he took off his jacket, placed it neatly over the sofa, and sat down. The way he stared at me made it feel like he was expecting something. “Are you planning to stand there and watch me all night, or are you going to sit?” he asked. “I wasn’t watching you.” “Are you hungry?” “No.” He picked up his phone and started typing. I slipped into the bedroom. Being around him again after all this time… it felt strange, unsettling. I pulled out comfortable clothes from the wardrobe and changed into them. Then I sat on the edge of the bed, lost in thought. Where is he even going to sleep? If he plans to stay here, the sofa is definitely too small. God, I don’t even know how to convince him that I’m fine. I lay down and closed my eyes, wanting to shut

:Blood and Revenge “Boss…”I turned toward Marcos. Behind him, two of my men were dragging that bastard in.“Let go of me! Do you even know who I am?” he barked.“Who are you?” I asked coldly, and his eyes flicked to me at once.“You—” his eyes widened the moment he recognized me. “My father will throw all of you in prison!” he shouted. I chuckled.“So basically, you’re no one. Just a splinter stuck in your parents’ ass. I’m sure they’ll thank me for pulling it out.”“Who the hell are you?” he spat.“Oh, who I am doesn’t matter,” I replied coldly. “What matters is who you touched.”He laughed.“Come on, she practically begged for it— ‘fuck me,’ that’s what she wanted.”His words made the blood in my veins freeze. I lunged at him, smashing my fist into his face so hard he crashed to the floor. I grabbed his head, lifted it, and kept hitting him until he couldn’t speak anymore.“Boss, want us to take over?” one of my men asked.“No. He’s mine. Bring the witnesses in. I want them to see

:Where Darkness Tried to Claim Her.........After countless dance songs and too many cocktails, I finally decided to take a break. I walked toward the chairs and sat down, slipping off my heels because my feet were killing me. That’s when I noticed the blood.“Damn it…”The shoes had hurt me badly, but while I was dancing I hadn’t felt anything — probably because of the alcohol buzzing in my system. Now, though, I had no idea what to do with my foot. I took off the other shoe too and just sat there barefoot. There was nothing else I could do.“Why aren’t you wearing your shoes?”Noah sat down next to me.“I hurt my foot. The shoes were killing me.”“Shit. I’ll ask Amelia— she might have a bandage or something.”He left, and a few minutes later came back with Lily and Amelia.“Does it hurt a lot? Let me see,” Amelia said as she bent down to look at my foot.“Jesus, it’s all scraped.”“It’s fine, it doesn’t hurt.”She pulled a bandage from her bag and gently patched me up.“Don’t put y

Her Silent GuardEvelineDays were passing slowly. My mornings began at the university and ended at the café. Once a week, after closing, the girls, Noah, Uncle Pedro, Otto, and I would gather there to talk, laugh, and unwind. Being with them was my escape, and it made me genuinely happy to see the smiles on Otto’s and Uncle Pedro’s faces. At university, I did my best to ignore Liam. Most of the time it worked, but sometimes I had no choice but to speak to him since he was my professor. Despite the nausea his gaze caused me, I forced myself to stay calm. Every time he tried to get closer, Amelia’s protective mode switched on—she would either ask something that threw him off or find a way to stop him from approaching me.That’s how the days and weeks passed until an entire month slipped by.In two days, there would be a party—our pre-graduation celebration—which, unfortunately, I had to attend. The girls, Noah, and I were at the mall looking for a dress for me. Lili ended up choosing a

The Love That Shattered UsEvelineI haven’t seen Dante since that night. I don’t know what happened to my father or the others, or where they ended up—and honestly, I don’t care. All I know is that now I’m free, freer than I’ve ever been. I never thought this day would come so soon. I thought I’d never find peace here, but it turns out I was wrong. My days start at the university and end closing the café. I improved my grades, and I’m doing everything I can to be among the best. When I have time, I go out with Noah and the girls. Soon our university is hosting a pre-graduation party or something like that. Amelia is over the moon—she couldn’t choose just one dress for the ceremony, and now she gets to wear both. Days pass one after another. It breaks my heart a little that we’ll finish university soon, but I’m also excited to begin a new chapter of my life.“You look like Elena Gilbert right now, except instead of sitting in a cemetery, you’re writing under a school tree.”I laughed
