Chapter 24

Amelia's POV

As I entered the room, feeling Damien's presence behind me, I froze, my eyes landing on the bed and all of the memories of how he had kissed me came flashing back.

'Then, let me show you just how much you're wrong about that.' He had said.

I fought the urge to close my eyes and envision just how his hands had felt on my body as he lifted me to the bed and how my insides had churned with need when he kissed a trail down my neck.

My hands turned into fists by my side as I kept looking at the neatly made bed and I didn't realize he was standing behind me until he bent to whisper in my ear.

"Are you going to keep standing here?"

I flinched as his breath touched my ear and moved forward awkwardly, standing in front of the bed before I sat down.

Pulling a chair to sit in front of me, I waited in anticipation for him to say something but he only watched me for a while before he stood up and headed into the bathroom.

I heard the shower running and fought the urge
