I dropped my jacket on the sofa, my head twisting in the direction of our room.
It had been a long journey back, but I hadn’t wanted to be away from Amber a second longer than I’d needed to.
As I neared the room, I detected Dominic’s scent, and I paused, bracing myself for what I knew lay behind the door.
My darling Amber was human, and she was Dominic’s true mate.
I swallowed, knowing that once I saw her with him, I’d know if I could tolerate his hands on her.
