"You have no right to say that," Pamela whispered, her voice steadier than she felt.

Richard didn’t flinch. He simply tilted his head, his dark eyes tracing her face like he was memorizing it. Then slowly, he unscrewed the flask in his hand and took a long sip, his throat working as he swallowed. The strong scent of vodka hit Pamela's nose. Of course it'd be vodka.

"I know," he said finally, his voice rough.

Above them, the sky was filled with stars, all looking like diamond jewels surrounding the crescent moon. The light caught Pamela’s dress giving her an ethereal look.

"I know I have no right to say anything to you." His fingers flexed around the flask. "But things have changed. I’m tired, Pamela. Tired of hiding. Tired of pretending I can walk away from you."

A shudder ran through her. Liar. The word burned on her tongue, but she bit it back.

"I want to tell you everything," he murmured. "Just... give me that chance."

He held out his hand. Not to grab, not to demand. A

  • Total Surrender    Chapter 47(The Making of a Monster I)

I was just thirteen years old, playing in the backyard. It was my birthday, and I was the happiest boy in the world Finn, my little brother, was chasing me around. Inside, my mother was baking a cake helped by my father. For a moment, everything was perfect. Then the men came. They moved like shadows, slipping through the gate without a sound. They were four of them, all dressed in black, their faces blank as stone. Finn froze mid-step, his small fingers clutching the hem of my shirt. One of them—the tallest, with a scar splitting his lip and his right ear missing stepped forward. “Where’s your dad?” I didn’t answer. My throat had closed up. I was just a boy, but I knew those men were trouble. Then they heard my mum laughing loudly in the kitchen. The men moved past me like I wasn’t even there. Finn bolted, scrambling toward the bushes. I should’ve run too. But I didn’t. I followed them, creeping closer to the kitchen window, my heartbeat so loud I was sure they’d hear it.

The grand hall was alive with the hum of drunk laughter and clinking of glasses. Glass chandeliers cast a golden glow over the sea of tailored suits and elegant gowns, . At the center of it all stood Richard. His suit was a masterpiece—black as a starless night, tailored to perfection, hugging his broad shoulders before tapering at his waist. The fabric was so rich it seemed to absorb the light rather than reflect it. His tie, a deep shade of crimson, was knotted with precision, a stark contrast against the crisp white of his dress shirt. His hair, usually smoothened in that effortlessly careless way, had been swept back tonight, every strand tamed into place. It made him look older. Sharper. Beside him, Eleanor was a vision of calculated elegance. Her laughter rang out like the chime of a silver bell—sharp, bright, and just a little too perfect. She clung to Richard’s arm, her fingers curled possessively around his bicep as she exchanged practiced pleasantries with the other lectu

Three hours later, Pamela barely recognized the woman staring back from the mirror. Jennifer had worked magic. She looked like a goddess with her perfect crimson lip and smoky eyeliner. Sophia whistled low. "Damn, Pam. If Jason doesn't propose tonight, I'm staging an intervention." Jennifer smirked "Oh well. Someone's definitely proposing tonight." Pamela met her own gaze in the mirror, the woman staring back both familiar and strange. This wasn't Richard's perfect little slut. This was someone else entirely. As she slipped into the red dress - the fabric clinged to her skin like a secret - Pamela felt something shift inside her. She felt powerful. Sophia's eyes widened when she turned around. "Holy shit. You look... dangerous." Pamela smiled, and for the first time in months, it didn't feel forced. "Good." When the doorbell rang at exactly 6:30 PM, Pamela's heart stuttered. This was it - the point of no return. Jason stood in the hallway, breathtaking in his black

The glow of Pamela's laptop screen cast shadows across her face as she scrolled through makeup tutorials. Beside her was Sophia, lying on her stomach with bag of chips in her one hand and her phone in the other. "Ugh, why does every 'simple smokey eye' tutorial require seventeen products?" Sophia groaned, shoving her phone under Pamela's nose. "Look at this! Who actually owns three different shades of dark eyeliner?" Pamela chuckled. "Remember when e thought mascara and lip gloss counted as a full face?" Sophia snorted. "Ancient history. Now we have to face Jennifer the Makeup Tyrant." She mimicked Jennifer's signature dramatic sigh. "Sophia, if you touch your face one more time, I'm gluing your hands to the chair." Sophia's demonstration made Pamela laugh harder than she expected. It felt good-these normal silly moments that had become rare since...well, since Richard. Her laugh faded as she remembered she was going to see him at the dinner. Sophia noticed it immediately. "Hey."

Pamela opened her eyes slowly to the sounds of the waste disposal truck outside. It was already 6am. She could feel Jason's arm wrapped over her waist. The had both fallen asleep on the couch after their 'activity'. For a moment, she just lay there absorbing everything as the events of last night replayed in her mind. For the first time, she had been in control-the one commanding the pleasure- and she loved it. Probably side effects of Richard. Jason shifted beside her, his fingers brushing her hips as he woke up. "Morning," he murmured, pressing a kiss to her shoulder. Pamela turned to face him, her lips curling into a smile. "Morning." He stared into her eyes, his own eyes still heavy with sleep. And with a rough morning voice, he asked. "Last night...was that okay?" She laughed softly, nudging at him. "You're asking me that now?" Jason grinned. "I just want to make sure you're good." Pamela touched his chin "I'm more than good " He exhaled deeply, then took her hand
