XIV. (B)

When I opened my eyes, I felt something soft around my face. The fabric slightly brushed against my cheek when I pulled it closer. Now I was feeling fresh.

I slowly opened my eyes and then looked around. My swinging senses jammed the moment I recognised I was not in my room.

I hurriedly got up and looked around. My eyes immediately stopped on the man in front of me, who was already staring at me, and then my mind recognised everything.

“What’s the time?” I asked him as soon as I realised I slept in the middle.

“Here the watch is only on your wrist.” I realized that there is no clock in any patient’s room here. I raised my hand to glance at my wrist watch.

“Oh no!” I palmed my face when I saw it was four, twenty. “Why didn’t you wake me up?” I looked at him. My brows creased as I was annoyed by this.

“It is probably a sin to break a deep slumber.” He shrugged his shoulders.

“This sleep isn’t more important than my job!” I cried out, clutching the soft quilt.
