My family was supposed to be the richest of the land, yet I had to refund even a cheap delivery. Why? In my previous life, my housekeeper's daughter got her hands on a trading system. Every cent of money I spent would be hers. She started trying to guilt-trip me into donating to all the impoverished students in her school. It was charity anyway, so I signed a check worth 300 grand. The moment I did, that money became part of her savings, and the amount on my check was zero. Everyone called me names, called me a charlatan. Even the boy toy I spent good money on broke up with me. That girl used my money to donate to charities and became the kind and beautiful heiress. She told everyone I was the housekeeper's daughter instead. Furious, I grabbed my black card and started shopping like crazy. I wanted to prove I was the real heiress, but the balance in my account was cleared immediately. That girl then spent 1.2 million right away, like it was one dollar. She scoffed at me. "Don't try to act like you're rich when you're a broke loser. Your mother doesn't make enough as a housekeeper." The Internet decided to hunt me down. I could not handle the stress, and my mind broke. For some reason, my body withered away at a blistering rate. Before my father could save me, I drew my last breath. When I opened my eyes again, I returned to that fateful day. The day the housekeeper's daughter made me donate to the school.

Chapter 1 Rebirth

"I can't believe you, Wendy! You're vain! You're nothing but a housekeeper's daughter, and you think you could afford to help the whole school's impoverished kids?"

"Yeah, if Ms. Wood hadn't helped you cover the money, you'd have been a criminal!"

"Yeah, apologize to Ms. Wood right now, or we'll take you to the cops!"

Everywhere I turned, insults were hurled in my face, ringing in my ears. The throng shoved and pushed me around. That made me snap out of my reverie.

The faces of my schoolmates spoke of nothing but anger. I realized what must've happened. I was reborn. I was reborn on the day Queenie Wood egged me into donating to the school's impoverished students. The day she used her system to take my money.

The check for 300 grand I donated had nothing written on it, while Queenie swiped her card for the same amount. It went through. She told everyone I was the housekeeper's girl.

My silence was her hint. She came forth and talked to me in fake kindness. "I don't mind you stealing my custom-made dress and limited-edition designer bags to look cool, Wendy. But telling everyone you'd donate to them only to have the check have nothing written on it?

"I mean, you can't afford the donation anyway. You should just say sorry, or even I can't help you."

Her eyes gleamed with cunning. I knew she was trying to get under my skin and make me donate more.

Yeah, the me in my previous life acted all too rashly. Furious, I gave the poor students my black card and told them to take however much they wanted. I promised them I would donate whatever amount they swiped.

The students swore they would swipe until the credit limit was hit, and when they tried to do it, the reader came out with a warning.

"Insufficient balance. Try again!"

Queenie, however, transferred millions of dollars right away and promised to cover all the impoverished students' expenses.

That made me look like a vain woman who tried to act bigger than she was. Queenie, on the other hand, was the beautiful and kind heiress.

Now I was trying to figure out how to deal with this matter, when my boyfriend, Harold Grayson, came rushing out.

He was dressed in designer goods from head to toe, and on his wrist was a watch worth six figures. He, in all his majesty, was jabbing a finger at me. "And I thought you were rich, Wendy! You're a fake! If you hadn't begged and simped for my love, I'd never even look at you! That's it! We're breaking up!"

Me? Simping for him? It was the other way around. He begged to be my boy toy because he wanted to live the life of luxury I showed him. I only kept him around because his looks made up for it.

Now he looked at me like I was trash. He slammed his foot into my chest, in case I tried to cling to him.

The onlookers cheered for him and congratulated him for escaping hell.

Hell? I gave that guy 150 grand a month, and they thought it was hell?

I was about to tell the truth, but the tears came right away for Queenie. She slapped me.

"You're still not apologizing? You might be my housekeeper's girl, but I've treated you kindly. All you have to do is say you're sorry. I'd forgive you for old times' sake. Why won't you?"

"Tell the truth? Fine, I'll tell the truth!" I covered my swollen cheek and stood up. My teeth were clenched, and I hissed, "Yeah, I'm a housekeeper's daughter. I was vain and stupid and impersonated Ms. Wood to pretend I had money to donate. I'm sorry. Please forgive me, Ms. Wood. I am nothing but a housekeeper's girl!"
