LOGINHelena’s P.O.V
I grabbed my keys from the receptionist before I headed to my hotel room. It was quite considerate of them to get a hotel for their guest, but of course, they didn't pay for Helena. I was the villain after all.
I rolled my eyes and walked down the hallway. I stopped between two doors. My gaze glanced from one to the other. Was it 123 or 133 I saw in the novel?
I couldn't quite tell.
I took a breath, then turned to 133. I silently hoped it was the right room. I grabbed the handle and was about to insert the key when the door pushed back slightly. It was already open.
My eyebrows furrowed.
Had I left it open? Or had someone broken in?
It took me a few seconds before I stepped into the room. I shut the door slowly behind me, but I didn't turn the lights on immediately. If there was anything I learnt in the real world in a city filled with criminals, turning the lights on immediately was begging to be shut.
The irony.
I rolled my eyes.
When the tenth second passed, I turned it on and walked further into the room. I wove my way around it, and it looked exactly how I imagined.
I found my way to the bedroom and released a breath. I placed my hands on my waist to prepare myself for the little struggle I was about to face.
After a moment of rest, I sucked in a breath, then reached behind me. My fingers searched for the zip, constantly kicking it away from my grip. I dropped my hand, released my breath and shook my arms. “You can do this,” I whispered to myself before I reached for the zip again.
I caught it. “Yes”.
Then I pulled down.
I released my breath when the zip stopped at my waist. Then I reached for my hair and held it up, then forgot I didn't have any hairband on me. I was in another world, so of course Helena wouldn't carry a hairband like I always did. “Shit!” I cursed.
“Who are you?” An unfamiliar voice asked.
My eyes grew wide, then I screamed.
I turned swiftly to face him.
My dress finally decided to cooperate at the worst time, and the fabric slipped down, almost exposing my chest.
I screamed again, then wrapped my arms around myself. “What are you doing in my room?” I questioned.
“I could ask you the same thing”.
“What?” I scowled.
“Do I look like someone who would walk into another room unannounced and then proceed to use the shower?” He raised an eyebrow.
My gaze dropped down to see a towel wrapped around his waist. The towel was short and tight, so a bulge was visible between his legs.
My eyes grew wide.
“Wow, you're really helping yourself to a show”.
“What?” My gaze met his.
He raised an eyebrow.
I gulped as my cheeks flushed. “It's not what it looks like”.
“Are you sure about that?”
“I'm naked too. Almost naked, but that's not the point, so you peeked as well. It's even,” I said. The words tumbled out of my mouth faster before I could even make sense of them.
He chuckled with his hands folded across his chest. He leaned against the door frame and was so relaxed, unlike me who's heart was racing at 100 miles per hour.
“I'm leaving,” I scoffed and turned around, annoyed at his amused expression.
“You sure you want to show everyone what you just showed me?” He asked.
I stopped at the door, my bare back towards him.
My sleeve kept slipping off, and I wanted the ground to open and swallow me.
Even at that, he had a good point, but I didn't know what to say or do, so I just stood there.
“Let me help you,” he offered.
My body grew stiff.
“N-no—” Before I could form words, one hand had gripped the zip, and the other was placed perfectly beneath the zip to support it. The dress closed up, and his breathing became increasingly loud due to how close he was.
I'm meant to be a villainess, but here I am getting zipped up by a hot guy with only a towel wrapped around his waist.
“Done”.
I didn't waste any time. I rushed to the front door, then across the hallway to my door. I grabbed my key, shoved it in, then turned it till I heard a click. The door gave way, and I stepped inside.
“No wonder you got confused”.
That voice again.
I almost clenched my jaw.
Did he enjoy seeing how embarrassed I looked?
Wait.
My eyebrows furrowed slightly. Was he wearing the towel in the hallway?
I turned to face him but this time he had on a robe.
My excitement dropped a bit.
That was definitely not on purpose. The former Villainess must have been a pervert.
“Here I was thinking you were a crazy lady”.
“You're the crazy lady,” I scowled.
Shit.
“I mean crazy man,” I corrected myself but he was already laughing.
He was bent over laughing like a mad man. I rolled my eyes and shut the door.
It was only then did I release a breath.
I could still hear his laughter.
Even when he shut the door.
His laughter ran in my head till I dropped on the bed in cozy hotel pyjamas and shut my eyes. I was almost afraid he would hunt my dream but thankfully, it was peaceful. The next day, It was like it had enver happened.
Still, when I pulled my front door open, I peeped across the hallway tomake sure his door was locked before I walked out.
I wasn't going to have that maniac ruin my plans. I met you with the rest of the group outside the hotel as the brochure I found in my room said. It had the list of wedding events and where it would be held.
The bridesmaids and Lilith, the bride stood next to a car while the groomsmen stood next to another.
Wait.
Him.
The guy from yesterday.
He spotted me.
I frowned.
He stepped forward but I didn't step back. Instead I kept walking and made sure to head to the bridesmaid but he got to me before I could get to them.
“Crazy lady,” he greeted.
“Crazy man, what do you want?”
“What a way to say good morning”.
“I have no interest in doing that, so if you don't mind I'm quite busy right now,” I forced a smile then walked towards Lilith.
She glanced from me to him then back to me. She smiled and I could tell she had something up her sleeve.
Then she started walking towards me.
Helena’s P.O.V“You are so jealous of Lilith; it’s sickening,” the bridesmaid said, irked, while I just stood there staring at the ground. It became increasingly impossible to contain my emotions. I had been hit multiple times, and it hadn’t even been a week. I took a minute, refusing to let them see how water welled in my eye. I sucked it up and turned to face her. “Why would I be jealous of her?” I questioned with furrowed eyebrows. “You tried to kill her,” the bridesmaid answered.I almost laughed. “Why would I waste my time doing that?” “You were the absent one when her allergy flared up. Everyone knows she’s allergic to peanuts and how she gets when she eats—”“Exactly.” I stepped forward and held her gaze. I was so sure she had something to do with it because she was so eager and insistent on playing the hero. She wanted to be recognized as the one who brought down the villain- me- but I would not give her that satisfaction. “Then where had you gone during the cake tasting?”
Helena’s P.O.V“Step aside!” I demanded, and it took his personal assistant a few minutes before she dropped her hands and stepped to the side. I reached for the doorknob and pulled it open. It was then that I understood why his personal assistant was stopping. It was quite an irritating sight; my lawyer was on his knees while his mistress sat with her unbuttoned shirt, holding onto his tie. “The fuck is going on?” I asked, to stop the craziness. Their heads shot in my direction, then they separated. Hands reached for shirts and trousers, buttoning and zipping. The mistress stood up and buttoned her shirt. She walked past me with her head lowered. “Miss Graves,” she greeted me before she got to the front door. I walked forward, then grabbed a chair and took a seat while I waited for my lawyer to collect himself. He groaned to clear his throat as he took a seat. “Miss Graves, I didn't know you'd be coming around,” he pointed out the obvious. “I didn't tell you, now did I?” I quest
Helena’s P.O.V “Helena,” Lilith’s lips spread into a wide smile as she approached me. I shifted my gaze away from her to see Elias, Tristan and Lucien looking at us suspiciously. My attention was pulled back to Lilith when she grabbed my arm and wrapped it around hers. She pulled me towards the car, eagerly. “I know yesterday didn't end on good terms, but we can't let it remain that way”.I didn't say a word. I wasn't sorry, and I wasn't going to give her the impression that I was. “Anyway, how did you get to know Theron?” “Who?” The word slipped from my lips, and I almost bit my tongue while speaking to her. “Theron Cross,” she answered. “You were speaking to him just now; I thought you knew him”. I didn't respond. “He's Elias’s childhood best friend, and they haven't seen each other for a long while, so this is like a reunion for them, so don't ruin it with your little crush,” Lilith explained. “Best friend?” I whispered to no one in particular. If they were best friends,

Helena’s P.O.V My eyes snapped open to see eyes staring back at me. A crowd filled the large hall, and I couldn't recognize any faces. They stood far away yet close enough to see the situation play out. They all wore luxurious dresses and suits, and it made me wonder what exactly was happening. I still scanned the room. A large chandelier hung above us, glistening in the light. It took my breath away. I hadn't seen anything like it. Wait. Blood. My head dropped and my hand shot to my dress. My eyes widened as I realized I was no longer wearing the thrifted jeans and bloodied shirt I had on, but a black long gown with a dangerous slit that stopped at my thigh. The jewelry looked perfect with the gown, and I couldn't imagine anything better. The only problem was this wasn't something I could afford. “Helena!” A voice called, but not in a sweet tone. Hate gripped the words so tightly my head shut up. I had never heard so much anger squished in a sentence so much. “Apologize righ
Helena’s P.O.VThe old mouth of the gun pressed against my forehead, this was the third time it was happening this week.My hands had grown used to being held above my head so the robbers won’t think I was trying anything funny.I kept my face expressionless; at the moment I couldn’t make any, all I wanted was to get back to the novel I was reading. My gaze shifted to the novel a few times, I wanted to find out what was going to happen. The villain was about to make the annoying main character, Lilith pay for embarrassing her. “Money. Now!” The robber ordered and I nodded. My hands reached for the cash register and tugged the compartment open. 10 dollars and two cents. I sighed. The robber won’t be happy but it was a slow night. I reached in, tugged them out and dropped them on the counter. His gaze shifted from the cash then to me, twice. He was pissed and it was visible on his face. The way his eyebrows furrowed, jaw clenched and veins popped out, it was either he was going to
