Chapter Twenty-one

He kept rubbing her shoulders as he led her. They took the stairs. She wondered if they were going to the roof of the house but she kept her questions to herself.

She enjoyed the silence between them so much that she didn't want to do anything that would ruin the peace she shared with him.

They stopped at the last stairs, in front of a door that supposedly led to the rooftop. He unlocked the door and pushed it open. The first rush of the wind was so much that she shivered.

He held her shoulders tighter and pulled her closer to him. "Are you that cold? Should we go back?" He stared down at her with concerned eyes. She cleared her throat.

"I'm fine." She replied immediately.

"You're not, let's go back. We can come back later." He sighed and turned them around. She stopped him with her voice.

"I'm fine, believe me." She was desperate. She didn't know when she would get to see this side of him again so she wasn't going to let it waste.

He sighed and arranged the jacket on her
