“She is still refusing to see me?” I rubbed my eyes and looked up at Lara with expectation, hoping I would hear something else.

“Yes.” Lara said disappointedly, “she did not even talk to me. I tried to talk to her, but she refused to even open the door.”

My fingers tightened on the back of the chair as my heart hurt like someone had snatched it out of my chest.

“It has been a week already.” I muttered and straightened, my eyes flashing blue, “this is it.”
