Chapter Twenty-two

Days ticked past since the preparations for Calvin Gio’s case began. These days had felt peaceful for Kayla as she'd been in sync with Corey. Corey sometimes shared new ideas with her when they hung out. Kayla was supposed to be happy spending time with Corey, instead being near Corey felt inappropriate, and she hoped to stop. She tried to avoid him, but he kept coming. For guilt’s sake, she couldn't resist him.
