ADELINA'S POV

Lawrence was being transferred, so that was what Lydia wanted to tell me about. I had this sudden urge to see him which I didn't understand.

Was he still in his office, or was he gone already? Cecilia was already waiting for me. What was I going to do?

The elevator dinged and slid open. I walked into the top floor where Mikhail's office was located. After a short walk, I arrived at the office.

Cecilia spotted me from a mile away and smiled sweetly.

"You must be Adelina," she chimed, welcoming me with a smile. Cecilia recognised me from the few times I had been to Mikhail's office.

"Yes, ma'am, Lydia informed me that I will be working under you," I explained the situation to her, which she understood without a hitch.

"Yes I know, please place your bag down. We will be sharing a desk for the period, although you might work most of the time in Mr Romanov's office." She explained, Why was I going to be working in Mikhail's office?
