Chapter 67

Shienna arrived at her old home, as she had left Bryan early in the morning, and when she entered the house, she found no one but a few women working in the wet kitchen in the back building.

She checked the other rooms, but nothing. There was no sign of Bryan anywhere.

"Are you looking for Mr. Sanders, ma'am?" asked one of the servants who had noticed Shienna pacing back and forth with a confused look since arriving home.

"Yes. Do you know where he is? Did he leave a message for me?"

"Mr. Sanders just said he had some business to attend to and asked you to have lunch first. He'll be back as soon as everything is done."

Hearing the waiter's words, Shienna grew even more anxious. She wondered what kind of trouble Bryan was in that he wouldn't let her know. Bryan hadn't contacted her either. He must have panicked when he couldn't find her anywhere, but why wasn't he bombarding her with calls and messages?
