"Are you sure you can get out of this trap, Arka? The trap you created for yourself long ago."

The sentence haunted Arka's mind every time he looked at the woman who was now sitting gracefully on his lap. Amidst the glimmer of crystal lamps and the sheen of a gold dress, his ex-wife, Kania, looked like a queen who had just reclaimed her throne.

Arka knew they were no longer bound by a sacred vow. Their divorce was final, signed on stamped paper years ago. Yet, in this private room, with the aroma of whiskey and Kania's challenging gaze, Arka once again became the helpless, foolish man.

Tonight was supposed to be the celebration of his new engagement. He was supposed to be celebrating a new chapter. But Kania's presence in the private lounge, in a high-slit dress that showed off her long legs, had ruined everything.

"You didn't have to come, Kania," Arka hissed, his voice choked.

Kania smiled cynically, caressing Arka's jaw with her cold fingers. "You're right, darling. I didn't have to come. But I had to make sure of one thing: that your heart... still belongs to me, just like before."

It turned out that getting out of the marriage was much easier than getting out of his ex-wife's love.

Arka was about to push away the woman's hand, which was now exploring his sensitive areas, but the old desire returned. Arka couldn't even catch his breath properly.

As if the hand-play had successfully locked him in, Kania, who was already playing the game down below, was of course smiling sweetly while looking at her ex-husband.

"How does it feel, darling? Isn't it good?"

Arka still couldn't process all those words; all he felt was a wave of pleasure that he hadn't experienced in a long time.

Arka’s hand, which had initially meant to brush her away, rose instead, squeezing Kania’s slender waist. It was an automatic, instinctive reaction. The heat spreading through his body didn't just come from the whisky he had downed so quickly, but from Kania’s touch—so familiar, so perfectly on point. He hated how easily that woman dismantled all his defenses with just a single touch and a look.

"Let me go, Kania," Arka tried hard to voice his rejection. However, his voice sounded hoarse, more like a plea than a command.

Kania chuckled, a light, ringing laugh that stood in stark contrast to the heated situation they had created. She leaned her body in, her lips approaching Arka’s ear. The scent of expensive perfume mixed with her distinct natural musk filled Arka’s senses.

"You don't want that, Arka. If you really wanted to be free of me, you wouldn't be holding me this tight," she whispered, her tone full of victory. Her fingers, which had been playing in a sensitive area, now moved up, touching Arka's shirt which already felt damp with sweat.

Kania’s game down there grew more intense. Arka closed his eyes, his head tilting back to rest against the back of the expensive leather sofa. All memories, all the reasons why he had left Kania, seemed to simply evaporate. All that remained was a crushing longing and an urgent need.

"You play dirty," Arka sighed.

"Of course I play dirty," Kania pulled her head back slightly, looking into Arka’s eyes with a gaze full of fiery passion. "I always knew your weaknesses. And I won't let another woman take what has been mine from the start."

Kania smirked; her smile was no longer sweet, but deadly. She draped her arms around Arka’s neck.

"Tonight, forget your engagement, forget your fiancée. Tonight, you go back to being my Arka. And we will finish what we left behind years ago," she said, before finally closing the distance between them.

Kania’s lips devoured Arka’s brutally, full of demand and unspoken longing. It was a kiss that erased the line between the past and the present, between sacred vows and betrayal. Arka could no longer hold back. He returned the kiss with equal intensity, letting himself be dragged into the vortex of passion that only Kania could create.

Suddenly, a loud knock on the private lounge door shattered the tense silence and killed their momentum.

"Mr. Arka? Are you inside? The engagement is about to start, everyone is looking for you." It was the voice of Arka’s personal assistant, sounding anxious.

Kania stopped the kiss, but she didn't move from Arka’s lap. She simply gave a faint smile, staring at Arka with gleaming eyes.

"Well, darling. The choice is in your hands now."

Arka seemed to be a slave to tonight's game; his demeanor, famously firm and respected by many, was now reduced to merely trying to regulate his breathing, which was still ragged from his ex-wife's treatment.

“You really are crazy, Kania! Get out of here, quickly, before someone sees you!”

But Kania did the exact opposite; she went back to devouring the man's lips lustfully. The breeze, which should have felt cold, now felt incredibly hot inside the room.

The window, which wasn't fully closed, made Arka worry; it was possible that someone else could see what was happening inside.

Just as Arka was about to remove the woman's panties—which had been incredibly arousing this whole time—the knock on the door sounded again, making Kania want to laugh even harder at the man's weakness.

"Keep going, baby!"

Kania didn't intend to sound commanding, but she wanted to test him—to see just how hard he had struggled to forget her all this time.

Tonight, Arka was like a puppy, obeying her every whim. He wasn't like this before; Arka used to be the one giving orders, but now, he was the man taking them.

"Aaaah," Kania moaned deliriously as he buried himself deep inside her.

Their bodies slick with sweat, they called out each other's names between gasps. As they fused together and Arka’s heart pounded harder against hers, Kania became convinced: his engagement was nothing but a formality.

After shifting positions countless times, they finally found their release, crashing over the edge together in perfect unison.

"Thank you, baby. I never doubted your skills," Kania whispered, licking her fingers.

"You’re insane! You’ve managed to drive me crazy for you all over again!" Arka snapped, hastily fixing his clothes.

Kania allowed the audio recording on her phone to continue playing. Although it was only Olivia’s whimpering and flirtatious dialogue, it was enough ammunition to destroy Arka’s image as an honorable man. Disgust crawled over her, yet she held her ground.“Insane! They are actually doing it here, in the main living room,” Kania muttered, shifting her body to find a better vantage point. She could clearly see Olivia giggling coyly and the strange man, whom she now suspected was Olivia’s kept lover. However, beneath the heated scene, Kania sensed an oddity. The security in that area was too relaxed, and the foreign man looked like an actor merely following a script, devoid of any genuine threatening aura. Arka would never allow anyone else to appear stronger within his own mansion. Something felt wrong.Kania decided to search for Arka. If the man truly was inside, he would be in a more private space. She slipped through an old ventilation shaft toward the East Wing corridor—the area of

"Kania? Dad wants to talk. Why are you already getting ready to leave this early?"Kania stood mute. This time, she would meet conflict with silence. If her Father had already started conspiring with Arka, her ex-husband, she knew perfectly well she would be trapped again. She wasn't that foolish. That stupidity had been shed, buried with her dark past."The money to pay this week's debt has been transferred to your account, Dad. I have to leave now," Kania stated coldly, rushing to abandon the place—a sanctuary that was supposed to be her source of comfort, now feeling suffocating.Observing his daughter's demeanor, a strong fatherly instinct surged within Mr. Eleanor. He wasn't blind. He knew Kania was distancing herself because of last night's incident."Wait, Dad can explain everything, Kania. One day, you yourself will be very grateful to that man. The man you've hated all this time. He—Arka—is not as bad as you think."Mr. Eleanor now appeared calmer, relieved that his former so

Kania took a deep breath, trying to calm her violently pounding heart. Whatever they were talking about, she had to know. Curiosity and fear mixed into a single, suffocating knot. Slowly, she approached the door, pressing her ear to the thick wood, trying to catch faint scraps of the conversation."Yes, Sir. I know that. I'll take care of it as soon as possible," Arka's voice was heard, clearer this time. There was a familiar tone of seriousness and authority, a tone Kania had always heard when Arka was handling important work in the past. Then, her father's voice was heard again, this time with the hearty laugh Kania missed. "Ha ha ha! Good, son. You're always reliable. I trust you. I hope your plan goes smoothly. Don't worry about Kania. She's fine."Kania's heart sank. Don't worry about Kania? Her father said that to Arka? And what plan were they talking about? A plan that made Arka contact her father in the middle of the night?Kania stepped back, a dizzy spell assaulting her. Thi

“No, I don't think I know him. I don't even know who you mean, Miss Olivia.”Olivia knew that when someone was speaking but their eyes were looking away and opposite the person they were talking to, it meant there was a lie or something that might be hidden. However, Olivia had to postpone all that. She was more interested in finding Arka's whereabouts now. Since he asked permission to get food, he hadn't returned.Seeing Olivia leave just like that, Vero felt increasingly threatened, even though she could breathe a sigh of relief for now. One day, she too would be in trouble. In that small room, Arka was very patient with his ex-wife. He was strong in holding back from doing bad things, even though what the woman had said was utterly heartbreaking.“Why are you silent, Arka? Remember what I said today, okay? Now, be happy with that woman. I'm leaving!”As she was about to leave, Arka, who was still restraining himself, still pulled Kania's hand naturally, without hurting the person h

"Kania, you'd better leave now, don't continue your crazy plan, I'm saying this for your own good," Celine said. When Celine suddenly came and stopped her, it not only surprised Kania but also made her feel a little doubtful."What are you talking about? I don't understand, besides, this is an event that uses a special invitation, so I'm coming in because of that invitation," Kania pressed, of course, defending herself.Celine was not easily swayed by that; she was the only one in Arka's family who didn't easily trust anyone. That was the reason Kania started to feel hesitant about continuing her plan. When their eyes met and stared at each other, Kania could only quickly turn her face away; she was too lazy to make eye contact like that. There was a long silence between them until both felt tired of standing in that spot. Celine would not leave just like that before she truly made sure the sly woman had gone."What are you waiting for? Go, the main event is over, and no outsiders are

Kania laughed softly, a sound that sounded melodious but venomous in Arka's ears. With slow movements that were deliberately made to torture him, he got off Arka's lap. There was no trace of fear on her beautiful face, only pure satisfaction at having managed to break down the man's defenses in a matter of seconds. The woman stood up straight, straightened her maroon dress which was slightly open, then stepped closer to Arka. His slender hands reached out, not to hug, but to straighten Arka's shirt collar which was messy due to his own actions."Don't be a hypocrite, Arka," Kania whispered right in front of her ex-husband's face. His fingers brushed the faint lipstick stain on the corner of Arka's lips with his thumb. "Your lips say 'go', but your crazy heartbeat says 'don't stop'.""Kania, enough!" Arka hissed, slapping the woman's hand roughly. He stood up, grabbed his jacket which was draped over the back of the sofa. "Exit through the side door. Don't let there be drama today."Th
