"Kania, you'd better leave now, don't continue your crazy plan, I'm saying this for your own good," Celine said.

When Celine suddenly came and stopped her, it not only surprised Kania but also made her feel a little doubtful.

"What are you talking about? I don't understand, besides, this is an event that uses a special invitation, so I'm coming in because of that invitation," Kania pressed, of course, defending herself.

Celine was not easily swayed by that; she was the only one in Arka's family who didn't easily trust anyone. That was the reason Kania started to feel hesitant about continuing her plan.

When their eyes met and stared at each other, Kania could only quickly turn her face away; she was too lazy to make eye contact like that.

There was a long silence between them until both felt tired of standing in that spot. Celine would not leave just like that before she truly made sure the sly woman had gone.

"What are you waiting for? Go, the main event is over, and no outsiders are allowed to know the continuation of the next part of the event, only family," Celine revealed, breaking the silence.

It sounded normal, but the sentence sounded like an insult. Kania knew what she meant by those words; she was being subtly driven away. Even so, it didn't make Kania give up so easily.

As she was confused, a new idea popped into her mind. Kania began to curve her lips into a smile. She knew what she had to do now; the snake must truly be tamed, mustn't it? So as not to kill it completely.

"Kania? Go, I will keep this secret, even though I know what you are going to do, I will keep silent! As long as you are willing to leave!"

"I will leave, don't worry about it, besides this room is hot, not interesting at all," Kania said before leaving the girl there.

Celine might have thought she wouldn't be easily tricked, but if her opponent was Kania, that was a different story. They were competing in their intellectual skills, of course.

Celine, thinking the woman had truly left, decided to return to the hall to meet her family again quickly.

Meanwhile, behind the wall, Kania started to laugh softly. It turned out that the woman she had always considered smart in everything was just a woman who was only beneath her.

"What an idiot, I won't leave just like that before I'm satisfied today!"

Finding a way out that no one would know about was, of course, very easy for Kania. She had many ideas for everything this time, because the Kania who was once very weak had changed 180 degrees into a much better version.

She found a corridor, and there was a small room containing some food; perhaps that was her way out this time.

After typing a message to the intended number, Kania only had to wait now and would not be defeated again, even if someone wanted to thwart her plan like before.

Celine was indeed someone who disliked her from the beginning of that marriage, and Arka had repeatedly struggled to make the two reconcile, but it was very difficult.

The cold air was felt again; perhaps the air conditioning in the room was too cold, making the exposed parts of her body feel frozen. Actually, all of this could be a problem for her health.

"Hold on a moment, Kania. You will be happy soon after this, don't be weak, fight all this pain," she told herself.

Meanwhile, in another room, Arka was sitting with the woman he loved at the moment. They looked very happy, even though Arka had acted strangely today, it didn't create the slightest doubt about their love; Olivia was very sincere.

"Are you very hungry? Let me prepare food for you; I'll bring it here," Arka said very gently.

Olivia, who was indeed hungry, just nodded, indicating that she agreed, but Arka greatly regretted it, because this time he was truly brave enough to lie to her, just to resolve his past.

Without any doubt or suspicion, Olivia continued to smile, looking at the man's back as he slowly disappeared from her sight. Arka walked very fast because he wanted everything to be over soon.

The room was quite small, but Arka could be completely ruined if someone saw him coming to meet someone who was very dangerous at the moment.

"You? Why do you still want me to get into trouble, why? Don't you think I'll want to deal with you again, Kania!"

Those words meant nothing to Kania; she came only for a victory, not to feel weak and defeated again like before.

Seeing the person who apparently did not listen to what he said made Arka increasingly furious, wanting to punish her, but he didn't know why his heart felt the opposite.

"Tell me, please tell me clearly, what exactly do you want from me? I don't have much time now," Arka said again, waiting.

Kania approached, but Arka stepped back a few paces. He didn't want to be trapped again like before; if that happened again, Arka would truly hate himself.

"Kania!"

***

Olivia felt that something was indeed wrong; she had sensed a bad feeling from the very beginning, ever since their engagement party was held, but she didn't want to think ill of anyone.

Moreover, if she didn't have any proof, it would all become slander and be fatal to herself; Olivia didn't want to act that foolishly.

"Vero, you are the personal assistant who has been close to Arka all this time, right?"

Vero, the assistant, looked very panicked now, because for the first time, Olivia spoke to him in a long sentence, not just to give orders as she usually did.

"Answer me, is that true? And shouldn't you be someone I can trust too?" Olivia felt that he was the man who would help her slightly to solve her curiosity.

Olivia Claire Davis, that name was not just a person's long name, but the woman was widely known as someone who couldn't be underestimated, not only because her family's wealth would never run out for 7 generations, but their family was known to be terrifying in that city itself.

Olivia always received the best education since childhood, and everything she did always had a definite direction, not random or careless.

That information was widely known by people, of course, it was enough to make Vero, as an ordinary person, feel afraid if he had to deal with that woman.

"Silence can mean many things, and one meaning of a man's silence implies something genuinely dangerous," Olivia stated, and she was still circling the man, staring from head to toe.

Not understanding what Olivia was actually doing made Vero stay on guard regarding his boss; perhaps it was related, because Vero was the only person who knew everything about Arka's life, even more than his own family.

"Vero? Did you also see that person at the event today? The woman wearing the red dress earlier... You know her too, don't you?" Olivia inquired.

Kania allowed the audio recording on her phone to continue playing. Although it was only Olivia’s whimpering and flirtatious dialogue, it was enough ammunition to destroy Arka’s image as an honorable man. Disgust crawled over her, yet she held her ground.“Insane! They are actually doing it here, in the main living room,” Kania muttered, shifting her body to find a better vantage point. She could clearly see Olivia giggling coyly and the strange man, whom she now suspected was Olivia’s kept lover. However, beneath the heated scene, Kania sensed an oddity. The security in that area was too relaxed, and the foreign man looked like an actor merely following a script, devoid of any genuine threatening aura. Arka would never allow anyone else to appear stronger within his own mansion. Something felt wrong.Kania decided to search for Arka. If the man truly was inside, he would be in a more private space. She slipped through an old ventilation shaft toward the East Wing corridor—the area of

"Kania? Dad wants to talk. Why are you already getting ready to leave this early?"Kania stood mute. This time, she would meet conflict with silence. If her Father had already started conspiring with Arka, her ex-husband, she knew perfectly well she would be trapped again. She wasn't that foolish. That stupidity had been shed, buried with her dark past."The money to pay this week's debt has been transferred to your account, Dad. I have to leave now," Kania stated coldly, rushing to abandon the place—a sanctuary that was supposed to be her source of comfort, now feeling suffocating.Observing his daughter's demeanor, a strong fatherly instinct surged within Mr. Eleanor. He wasn't blind. He knew Kania was distancing herself because of last night's incident."Wait, Dad can explain everything, Kania. One day, you yourself will be very grateful to that man. The man you've hated all this time. He—Arka—is not as bad as you think."Mr. Eleanor now appeared calmer, relieved that his former so

Kania took a deep breath, trying to calm her violently pounding heart. Whatever they were talking about, she had to know. Curiosity and fear mixed into a single, suffocating knot. Slowly, she approached the door, pressing her ear to the thick wood, trying to catch faint scraps of the conversation."Yes, Sir. I know that. I'll take care of it as soon as possible," Arka's voice was heard, clearer this time. There was a familiar tone of seriousness and authority, a tone Kania had always heard when Arka was handling important work in the past. Then, her father's voice was heard again, this time with the hearty laugh Kania missed. "Ha ha ha! Good, son. You're always reliable. I trust you. I hope your plan goes smoothly. Don't worry about Kania. She's fine."Kania's heart sank. Don't worry about Kania? Her father said that to Arka? And what plan were they talking about? A plan that made Arka contact her father in the middle of the night?Kania stepped back, a dizzy spell assaulting her. Thi

“No, I don't think I know him. I don't even know who you mean, Miss Olivia.”Olivia knew that when someone was speaking but their eyes were looking away and opposite the person they were talking to, it meant there was a lie or something that might be hidden. However, Olivia had to postpone all that. She was more interested in finding Arka's whereabouts now. Since he asked permission to get food, he hadn't returned.Seeing Olivia leave just like that, Vero felt increasingly threatened, even though she could breathe a sigh of relief for now. One day, she too would be in trouble. In that small room, Arka was very patient with his ex-wife. He was strong in holding back from doing bad things, even though what the woman had said was utterly heartbreaking.“Why are you silent, Arka? Remember what I said today, okay? Now, be happy with that woman. I'm leaving!”As she was about to leave, Arka, who was still restraining himself, still pulled Kania's hand naturally, without hurting the person h

Kania laughed softly, a sound that sounded melodious but venomous in Arka's ears. With slow movements that were deliberately made to torture him, he got off Arka's lap. There was no trace of fear on her beautiful face, only pure satisfaction at having managed to break down the man's defenses in a matter of seconds. The woman stood up straight, straightened her maroon dress which was slightly open, then stepped closer to Arka. His slender hands reached out, not to hug, but to straighten Arka's shirt collar which was messy due to his own actions."Don't be a hypocrite, Arka," Kania whispered right in front of her ex-husband's face. His fingers brushed the faint lipstick stain on the corner of Arka's lips with his thumb. "Your lips say 'go', but your crazy heartbeat says 'don't stop'.""Kania, enough!" Arka hissed, slapping the woman's hand roughly. He stood up, grabbed his jacket which was draped over the back of the sofa. "Exit through the side door. Don't let there be drama today."Th
