Chapter 52 - Transfer Student
"Lexi!" I turned around after hearing that voice. It was Mitch. He ran towards me with his usual bright smile. He was still crying yesterday; what happened to him?
"Until when are you going to be gloomy? Let's welcome this brand new day and be happy." Mitch said while we walked towards our classroom; he sounds like he's faking it, but I didn't mention it since he must be having a hard time.
I haven't seen Ezra for a while now, and I couldn't even get mad at Jasper for what he did because I was too occupied with our loss.
"Cheer up." Mitch pats my back as he says that. I can see how hard it is for Mitch to say that to me because he's also blaming himself for why we lost the last match.
Mitch was put in as a pinch server since coach Alfred saw something about his serves and wanted to use it as a weapon, but Mitch failed a couple of times. He was depressed as soon as the competition was over.
