Alpha Doyle
The moment I had awoken and saw Lena sleeping at the end of the bed still in her wolf form, I couldn’t help but smile. Her wolf sure was a pretty one! I had no idea how long I had been watching her for when she woke up. As soon as she saw me watching her, she tensed up and watched me for a moment before she made her way into the bathroom, which adjoined the bedroom.
She was in there for a while. She had a shower, and then she came out dressed for the day, and without a word she left the bedroom. Laying there I thought about her actions. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but she just didn’t seem to be herself at the moment. By the time I had gotten downstairs to have breakfast, the girls were already gone. I had no idea where they had gone, and with everything that had happened the day and night before, I was honestly worried about them.

Storm Storm We all took one look at the look on Alpha Doyle’s face, and seeing the anger, which was evident there, the four of us wasted no time running out of the room and heading for the stairs. I ran upstairs to the spare bedroom and shifted back into my human form. Making my way into the bathroom I took a shower and got cleaned up. Storm I didn’t know what to think about this whole situation. Thinking about what could happen when I got back downstairs had my stomach churning. My throat and chest felt tight. Storm I tried to take a deep breath to calm myself down, but my lungs were so tight that I couldn’t get a lungful of air. My heart was beating so fast that I felt like I had tachycardia. Tachycardia is a condition I had recently been learning about in class. It is a medical condition where the heart beats too fast, and in doing so may not pump enough blood to the rest of the body. This can starve the organs and tissues of oxygen and can cause symptoms such as: shortness of breath, light headedness, rapid pulse rate, heart palpitations, chest pain, and even fainting. As I stood there, I decided that being Alpha Doyle’s mate was bad for my health. Turning in the doorway, I bolted out the door and raced down the hallway. I needed to get out of this house. Alpha Doyle Sean and I had been sitting with the cleaning staff in the kitchen, and I had been talking to them for a while now, trying to appease them. They had been upset about the mess that had been created earlier by the four muddy wolves that had practically destroyed the house. Alpha Doyle Without another word, I made my way up the stairs and into my office, locking the door behind me as soon as I entered, ensuring that Lena didn’t do another runner. Walking over to the lounge chair, I dropped Lena onto it, then stood and waited until I had myself under control. As I stood before her, I watched as Lena shrank back into the lounge chair, pushing herself as far back as she could go. A moment later she brought her knees up and rested her folded arms on them. I felt my chest tighten, as I saw that she was visibly shaking and on the verge of tears. As I watched her, I found myself wondering what had happened to her to make her so afraid. She had been afraid of me from day one. The moment she had realised we were mates; she had been terrified enough to run for her life. Alpha Doyle I closed the door and went back to where Lena was sitting. She was still sitting there and not saying a word. “Lena, you need to talk to me love. I need to know what is going on. Storm I had been sitting there on that lounge for what felt like forever. I was so wound up, that my stomach was in knots, and I was shaking. My lungs and chest felt so tight, that it was hard for me to draw a breath. I was also battling an overload of adrenaline within my system. I kept my guard up, as I continued to make sure that I was aware of where Alpha Doyle was at any given moment. I continued to sit there while he sat at his office desk and worked on his laptop. Storm I was laying on the floor drowning in my own misery over what had just happened. Alpha Doyle’s wolf was standing over me, watching me, almost like he was waiting for me to do something. I stood up and looked at him, making it clear that I wanted out of this office and away from him. Alpha Doyle phased back into his human form and stood before me in all his naked glory. “Shift back!” he ordered, watching me.
