Chapter 14 - Lauren

I look back and forth between Richard and Carl. Carl’s eyes have completely bled their beautiful cerulean color indicating his lust, but his expression is so earnest. Richard, on the other hand, is trying his hardest not to laugh. And I can’t help but agree with Richard.

I also can’t hold in my laughter as it spills out of my mouth, right into Carl’s face.

Richard’s laughter joins mine, causing Carl to look embarrassed and a bit abashed.

“Right.” Carl tries to move me off of his lap and I can tell that he’s trying to leave.

I grab his face in my hands and lean into him. “Baby, no! No! We’re not laughing like that.”

Carl stops moving, his eyes searching mine with desperation and a glimmer of hope.
