Splash! Daciana sucked in a breath, the cold soda splashing directly in her eyes temporarily blinding her vision. With trembling hands she wiped at her eyes that burned, but the humiliation burned hotter. The crowd snickered and laughed at her, everyone enjoying how she was tortured. “Stupid Omega!” One girl spat disgustedly throwing the soda can on Daciana's face. “You shouldn't even be in college, you deserve to be banished, worthless freaks like you have no place here” Beyoncé, the queen bee of the group sneered. She was the most popular bitch in school; popular for bullying of course, and Daciana, who couldn’t fight back was her favorite victim. “Please I don’t want any trouble” Daciana forced out trying to sound strong, but her voice betrayed her like the weakling they all knew her to be. The small crowd that formed began cackling and guffawing like she had made a joke she had no knowledge of. She was like a deer in the middle of hungry wolves who were staring down at their prey…ready to feast. “Poor little Daciana the cursed witch!” One girl on the right drawled spitting on her, adding to the soda that dripped from the tips of her hair to her worn out gray T-shirt. This was her life. The poor cursed Daciana. Since her eighteenth birthday passed, and she wasn't given a wolf, things got worse for her, the whispers became louder, and their taunts became more aggressive. They labeled her cursed, worthless, a freak, any disgusting word you could think of. “Leave me alone before I curse you along with me” Daciana sneered her amber eyes glowing with resentment, she was sick of insecure young adults insulting her to feel better about themselves. She was sick of being weak and being a target for everybody’s cruelty. For a slight moment, she saw a flicker of fear pass through Beyoncé's eyes, but it was short-lived when a hard shove sent her stumbling forward, she barely managed to catch herself before stepping on Beyoncé's shoes, holding her locker for support to stop her fall. If looks could kill Beyoncé's gaze would have buried Daciana six feet under. “I’m sorry I didn't mean to- SLAP! The piercing sound rang through the air on impact. Daciana’s face cracked to the side, making her lose her balance and her knees clawed aggressively on the tiles. The slap was so hard you could see Beyoncé's five-finger imprint on the side of Daciana's face. “You worthless thing!” Beyoncé barked. “These shoes cost more than your life” she growled, not done with the torment kicking Daciana hard in the ribs knocking the air out of her lungs. Hot tears cascaded down Daciana's face as she held the side of her face that burned painfully. ‘Was this type of life worth living?’ ‘Wasn't it better that the cold arms of death wrapped around me and ended this misery I call my life!’ Daciana cried within, hating the fact she could never be like others, she was indeed cursed, without a wolf she would never be blessed with a mate, she was a reject abandoned by even the moon goddess. She was nothing. Tears rolled down her cheeks as the students continued laughing and pointing fingers at her. “What's going on here?” a voice echoed down the hall. Oh no! Through her blurry gaze Daciana could make out their figures as they strode majestically towards the front of her assault. The Royal triplets had arrived. The crowd that were once eager to inflict pain on her perched on the triplets, batting their lashes and practically drooling over them. Daciana’s stomach turned at the sight. Words couldn't describe how much she loathed the triplets. She felt disgusted by their presence, hated how everyone bowed to them, how they walked through the world as if it were theirs alone. “Scram,” Kellen’s voice cut through the hall, silencing the crowd instantly. The students obeyed without hesitation, parting away and leaving them to focus on Daciana who was still on her knees. Slowly she wiped her tears, despite her head bowing, she could feel their piercing gazes on her. “Need a hand?” one of the triplets stretched out his arm offering help, but it only made bile rise at the back of her throat. How stupid did they think she was? With a quick, sharp motion, she slapped his hand away, Alan’s eyes widened in surprise, just for a second, before his face settled back into its usual mask of indifference. But she had seen the reaction, she had wounded his ego. That was a first, and she loved it. “I don’t need anything from you” Daciana snarled, pushing herself to her feet. She brushed the dirt off her jeans, not daring to meet Alan’s gaze again. “You should be grateful we are even talking to you” Alex voiced, irritated. “Grateful? Why? Because you feel you're some type of god?” Daciana spat, her tone harsher than intended. “Give me a break!” The triplets looked astonished that she had the guts to speak at them in such a manner, which was the fuel Daciana needed to get what she wanted off her chest. “You should- “Daciana!” Someone interrupted sharply, pulling her away from the triplets. It was her best friend Elena. “What are you doing?” Elena whispered, touching her wet curly hair, trying to defuse her anger. “What I should have done a long time ago. I'm sick of this school, sick of the rules, sick of these entitled boys running around like they are invincible” “You're just mad, you need to relax” Elena coaxed but Daciana nodded in negative, her blood boiling. “No, I don't need to” “If there's something you have to say, why don't you just say it, Daciana” Kellen spoke out, his piercing blue orbs glinting with mischief, daring her to cross him. Daciana pulled away from Elena's grip and pleading eyes, meeting Kellen straight in the eyes before her gaze moved to Alan and Alex. “I wish I never met any of you, I wish you all would find a map and go to hell, one day I'll watch you fall and spit on your ashes!” They gasped. The shock on their faces a trophy for what she had done. After her little outburst, Daciana grabbed her bag and ran as fast as her legs could take her, not in her wildest dreams did she think she would be able to stand up to those jerks. But she was glad she did, despite knowing how much trouble she was going to face. School passed in a blur, she managed to avoid them all day and as soon as the bell rang she was the first one to leave. When she finally made it home a sigh of relief escaped her lips, feeling exhausted from the day she just had. “Mom, I'm home” she announced through the small space, dropping her bag by the door and headed to the kitchen. “Daci, I have been waiting for you” her mother said, cleaning her hand on a dirty towel before picking up an envelope on the counter. “This came for you.” Her mother’s voice was calm, but there was an edge to it, something that made Daciana’s stomach churn. “A letter?” Daciana took it, her face contorted in confusion, when she noticed the royal seal she felt dizzy like the room was spinning. “Open it” her mother urged, reluctantly she opened it and pulled out a note, reading through the letter. Her eyes widened in surprise, and suddenly, she was unable to breathe. “What is it?” her mother questioned. Daciana looked up, her face pale with shock. “I’ve been chosen…” The words felt like venom on her tongue. “I’ve been chosen to become a personal maid to the triplets.” The world seemed to tilt around her, the room closing in. Of all the things she could have expected, this was the last. She dropped the letter onto the table, her mind racing. The triplets. The same ones who tormented her daily. The same ones she had just stood up to in front of the whole school. The same ones she hated with every fiber of her being. And now she was supposed to serve them? Daciana couldn’t believe it. This had to be a joke!Chapter 148.The knocking at the other end of the room persisted until Daciana was forced to yell out after groaning with frustration."Who is it?!""Uh... Sorry to disturb you, Luna." A male voice, probably a guard, spoke apologetically before continuing. "It's urgent. The high priestess is waiting for you, the Alpha King and the Beta, in the throne room."Daciana froze, glancing at Kellen and Axel. The high priestess has never summoned all three of them like this before."T– Tell her that we'll be out in a few minutes!" Kellen yelled out, brushing his hand through his messy hair as he stepped down from the bed while still naked. They heard the guard's receding footsteps, and with that, Kellen swerved his head to Daciana and Axel. Daciana sat up, clutching the cloth of the bed close to her chest while Axel relaxed freely on the bed, breathing heavily."Come on, brother!" Kellen snapped at Axel, forcing the latter to open his eyes and sigh."What could the high priestess possibly wan
Chapter 147.(Warning: Mature Content Ahead)Kellen and Axel followed Daciana to her bedroom, all three of them wearing robes to cover themselves. When they finally stepped in, the bedroom door clicked shut behind them, and within seconds, Daciana was pressed against it, her breath getting caught in her throat as she bit her bottom lip. She slowly raised her head, staring at Kellen, who was the one to pin her against the door. He brought his lips to her right ear, teasing her ear lobe with his hot breath before he whispered.“Not so good when you're the one being teased now, is it?”Daciana smirked slyly in response, arching her back against his touch. Water still stuck to their skin, evaporating in the warmth of the room, but none of them cared to dry off with a towel.Kellen’s hands were the first to touch her body. His broad, hot palms went down her thighs before going up again, going beneath the robe she hadn’t bothered to tie. The fabric fell to her feet as if it had been wait
Chapter 146. After Alan went off for his first day of school, Daciana and her mates decided to do something that they hadn't had the chance to do in so long.Have fun! And no, not sex… At least, not yet. First, they were going to dive into the swimming pool. The sun glistened across the surface of the outdoor swimming pool within the palace grounds. It was surrounded by blooming flower beds and finely trimmed hedges, which still held traces of snow from the receding winter. The area looked like a scene straight from a painting. Water splashed gently as Daciana surfaced from the waters, pushing her soaked hair back from her face and drawing in a deep breath with a smile."Gods, I missed this," She remarked, floating on her back with her eyes closed, letting the warmth from the sun soak into her skin.Meanwhile, Kellen was sitting at the pool’s edge, shirtless and toned, trailing his fingers through the water lazily. Axel was a few meters away, doing laps around the water like a s
Chapter 145.Five years laterThe morning sun shone through the tall windows of the palace, painting the floors and walls with streaks of golden light.A soft breeze blew through the open balcony doors, carrying the scent of blooming flowers from the palace gardens. Inside a room, the sound of laughter echoed.Daciana knelt in front of a small wardrobe, carefully fastening the buttons of a navy-blue uniform on a wriggling five-year-old boy.Her eyebrows were furrowed until she couldn't take it anymore and flung her arms into the air."Alan, darling, stop moving," She said with a chuckle, shaking her head as she gently brushed back a strand of his dark hair. “Don't you want to look your best on your first day?"In the span of five years, Daciana still looked the same, but her face and her body looked a bit more mature. She also wore a beautiful day dress."But Mama," Alan whined, bouncing repeatedly while folding his arms in front of his chest. "I already look awesome!""You do," She
Chapter 144.Daciana glanced at Elena after she voiced her concern.Indeed, after the battle had died down, they discovered that a hole had been blown up at the part of the palace linked to the dungeons, allowing Hailey to escape. Everyone was too busy mourning to note it down as something relevant… until now.Kellen’s eyebrows furrowed as he sat down, placing his right hand on his chin, a thoughtful expression on his face. “I doubt anyone broke her out, though,” He finally said after a long pause. “The explosion during the battle tore through parts of the dungeon wall. Her cell was one of the closest. She just got lucky.”“Or the bitch was opportunistic,” Axel chimed in, folding his arms in front of his chest. “She would’ve seized the chaos to slip away. That’s Hailey for you.”Daciana frowned, shaking her head with uncertainty. “Still, shouldn’t we at least consider the possibility that someone helped her? She wasn’t exactly low on enemies, but she had her ways of manipulating peop
Chapter 143. Three Days Later The sky was gray and gloomy, as if the clouds themselves mourned the death of Sabrina Gavin. The entire pack was gathered for the funeral ceremony within the same funeral grounds in the palace where the late Alpha King was buried. Everyone was dressed in black, forming a large circle around the polished wooden casket that lay adorned with flowers and crescent moon symbols carved on it. Daciana stood in the middle of this circle, with Kellen and Axel standing to her left and her right while Elena stood behind her, holding an umbrella. Daciana’s hands trembled as she held a single white rose. At this point, her eyes were dry, but that was only because she'd run out of tears. The past three days had been filled with nothing but grief and mourning all over the pack. Many lives had been lost during the fierce battle against Alan and his forces. As the high priestess stepped forward and began the funeral rites, her voice echoed out through the open field
