Claudia’s POV

My claws protruded, I nodded at him slowly as I bit my bottom lip so hard it nearly drew blood. “Fine.”

“Claudia,” Kinn called after me as I turned and stormed up the stairs. I reached my room in a couple of seconds, my speed was inhumane, just as my fast racing heart.

Adrenaline pumped through me and I slammed the door, so hard. I was expecting to hear that satisfying band that I knew would resonate all through the house, but I heard a low groan instead.

I turned to see a hand clawing at my wall in pain as the door hit it. The gold watch and ring was familiar. Kinn.

My insides curled up in rage. “What are you doing here?” I asked him. He pushed the door open slowly and his face came into view.

He looked quite normal, but he gritted his teeth slowly. I noticed the red bruise on his hand where the door hit him, but I didn’t care.

I wasn’t the one who asked him to stop the door with his hands.

“Can we talk?” he asked me.

I scoffed and wiped the tears off my cheeks. “G
