ALEXANDER POV

Sitting alone in the restaurant with Claudia was so frustrating.

Even after I had told her that kissing was just a mistake and I was just trying to shut her up, she still insisted that I truly loved her.

Very stupid girl, I thought to myself as I watched her savoring my food.

I tried standing up, but she pulled me back, not even staring back at me, but yet I could feel her stupid gaze piercing knives into my heart.

"What? Where are you going? Are you rushing to go and meet Alicia so you can protect her or what? What are you trying to do? Let her be? Stop acting like you love her so much.

There's nothing going on between the both of you. She's just your stepsister. You have to make it seem as if she's all you've got," Claudia said, then looked at me as she had that devilish smile on her face.

I don't know where she got it from, but it always made me see her as a devil, just how she always used to be.

I don't know how I was so foolish enough to actually fall in love with someone as stupid as her.

I could not help but scoff before taking my seat back and then I pulled my hands aggressively from her grip.

"Don't touch me like that again. I told you it was a mistake and I don't want to be seen around you again. I don't know. I told you I don't want this relationship anymore. I don't know why you are still insisting," I yelled at her and she laughed.

"I am insisting. We agreed to date each other. You can never go against it.

All of a sudden your cousin or your stepsister stepped in and now you want to do everything for her.

You want to break up with me because of her. You will never be able to break up with me because of her.

I promise you they would never be able to. Just know that. Just know that and let our life be peaceful.

Forget you have a stepsister and fix your attention on me or else I will tell the school another news. I would make Alicia's life a living hell," Claudia threatened as I stood up, slamming my hand on the table and for sure getting other people's attention as they looked at us and some of them whispered.

"Can you stop it already? You are becoming unbearable. You are acting foolish. You are just being childish over something that doesn't matter.

You keep claiming that I love. I love her. I love her. She has not even stayed in our house for even up to a month.

How do I fall in love with someone like that? She's my stepsister and I have to protect her.

That should not change. She's my stepsister and I am meant to protect her just as Adrian is protecting her.

Arnold is protecting her. I am to protect her too, so stay the fuck away from her," I warned Claudia before turning to leave, but she quickly rushed and hugged me from behind, making me feel so irritated.

This was the first time that Claudia would actually touch me and I would feel so irritated.

I quickly pulled her hands away from my torso and pushed her back.

"Step away. I am warning you for the last time. If you want this topic to continue between the both of us, know your limits.

Know your limits. Don't come anywhere close to me.

Yes, you want to continue dating me, right? You want everybody to know that our relationship is in a good situation?

Fine, I would leave it that way. But don't get anywhere close to Alicia.

If anything happens to her and I am unable to protect her, I would make life a living hell for you."

I stormed out.

Of course, I could also hear her clicking heels stomping on the tiles as she also walked out, but then when I turned around, she had already hailed a taxi.

Why do I feel like everything I said did not even work for Claudia and instead it would make her even worse?

Why do I feel like I just made a threat and made Alicia's life a living hell?

I swallowed my saliva thinking of things that Claudia would be planning to do now.

Seeing that she kept silent and did not even react to all the things I said, I decided to just wave it off and walked into the car only to see Alicia looking a bit anxious and of course she was looking out from the window.

She turned to me shocked that I sat down so close to her and then she moved so close to the door and quickly buckled her seatbelt as the engine started.

I stayed silent.

That was what I wanted, to stay silent.

But I couldn't do it.

Sitting near Alicia, feeling the scent of her perfume on me, all those things.

I couldn't control it.

I looked at her and she didn't even bother to look back.

I know she could feel my eyes on her, but she decided to stay the way she was either way.

"Alicia," I muttered as she still did not answer.

"I'm talking to you," I yelled at her as she turned.

"What? What do you want to say to me? Do you want to yell at me again?

I don't know what happened to you. I thought all of us, we could coexist as siblings, but you just brought it upon yourself to hate me these few days.

Anything I do, you always disapprove of it. You are always shouting at me. What again do you want me to do?" she said.

I could tell that she was unable to hold in all her emotions that were pouring out.

"Are you okay?" I muttered to her as she shrugged.

"Am I okay? Do you care if I am okay or not?

Please, let's just keep this issue within ourselves. Let's stay as peaceful siblings," she muttered, but I could feel her voice being a bit shaky as Adrian hummed loudly, clearly indicating for me that he felt I was crossing the boundary.

I know the kind of person Adrian was.

He was always silent, but he would always attack me if I did anything wrong.

As we got home, Alicia did not even wait and quickly rushed upstairs straight to her room.

And also, I did not wait to even see the outcome of her words as I followed behind her ready to end everything.

I don't mind pouring my feelings out.

I can't run away from Alicia forever.
