Bella’s POV

“Please, don’t go. Desmond!” I growled through gritted teeth as I stomped my feet on the hard marbled floor. He halted, I rushed a deep breath and I was about to race up to him when Cyra held my hand.

“He is getting what he deserved, Bella. You should be more like your father. Why are you so…” Her voice trailed away in a grunt when I flashed her a glare.

It was near impossible for me to be like my father. He was heartless, cold. I don’t ever want to be like him. Cyra knew that, why was she instigating me this way?

One more deep breath and I yanked my hand off Cyra’s grip. In the next moment, I was standing in front of Desmond, his head was hung as he stared down at his shoes.

“Des… Go back. I will face my father.” I spun on my heels and was heading back to my father’s room, when I felt a rush of wind and before I knew it, Cyra was in front of me.

“I’m sorry, miss. You are not allowed to go against your father’s word.” Cyra’s jaw was locked, the look in her eye

Richard’s POV“How is this possible? The same girl?” I thought out loud as I jogged up the stairs. As soon as I heard Alex mention her name, I lost my appetite. I went straight into my study and I sat on the arm chair in the middle. I pinched the bridge of my nose as my head nearly ached at how hard I was thinking.“Wasn’t that chapter closed a while ago? Why was she back again?” I asked outloud, staring at the ceiling.Briana– Her name kept ringing in my head. Alex had been obsessed with this girl earlier, I felt it was unhealthy so I thought I would set up a mating ceremony for them, but when I looked through her profile, even before meeting her, I was shocked. She was not good for Alex, but he wouldn’t listen. He was blinded by his feelings and I think I see it going back where it used to be again.Darn it. I jolted out of my chair, pushing it back and the legs scraped against the marble floor, making a screeching sound. I paced the room, as I flashed back to what had happened

Alicia’s POVWith crossed brows, I glared at Alex. I thought he said he was not hungry, but he was here, eating with his ex-girlfriend. And what the heck was Claudia even doing here? I balled my fist as I tried to walk past him, but Claudia held my hand. “Alicia,” she whispered to my ear. “You’ll lose Alex now that Briana has returned. Alex would abandon you too.”A pang struck my chest and froze on my heel. Claudia shook her head in pity and stormed out of the classroom.I pressed my eyes shut as I heaved a deep breath. “I’m sure she’s bluffing because she is pained.”“Come,” Adrian said, with his hand around my waist and I followed him.“Is she your brother’s girlfriend?” Briana asked. I gritted my teeth and kept my head down, staring at my desk.“I’ll tell you all you want to know later, it’s quite a long story.”I grinned softly. “A long story, huh?” I muttered. Alex turned to me and our eyes locked, but he quickly looked away. What was a long story? Was he just supposed to tell

Alex’s POV“Alicia, please. I would come and join you later,” I said as I tried to touch her face but she rolled her eyes at me and shifted from me.I could see the rage in her eyes. Did she know that I was staying back so I could talk to Briana? But I can’t help it. I need to talk to her now– I needed an explanation, at least.Adrian took Alicia’s hand. “Let’s go, Alicia.”She locked eyes with me, before she turned and left. I kept my eyes on them, as they were about to cross the exit, she turned back to look at me and I looked away.A soft sigh of relief escaped my lips as she left. I leaned back and crossed my arms as I thought of how I would talk to Briana. How would I even start the conversation? Hey, Briana, I thought you were dead, how are you alive? That sounds stupid. The class emptied up slowly as the students went out one after the other. Briana started to pack her books as she got ready to leave the class. I placed my hand on her desk and stopped her.“Briana, please cut

Alicia’s POVBriana? Is alive. Goddess, am I terrible for hating this news. It was supposed to be good news but hell yes I have to admit that it sounded bad to me. I looked up at her and gulped as fear gripped me– she looked like a goddess and I barely looked great, sometimes I even dressed like a tom boy. I didn’t even hold a candle to her god damn it. She smiled brightly and she was looking at– Alex. I faced him to see he was gawking at her. Though my hand was on his, I knew in his spirit he had reached where she was and held her. “Alicia?” Adrian called me and I turned to him. “Are you okay?” he asked. I faked a smile and nodded at him. “Of course.” Not. I finished in my mind. Adrian tapped my shoulder. “Good girl.”I blinked and looked back at Alex. That question should be for him, because he was the one looking like he was about to run all the way to the front of the class to meet her.“What’s wrong, Alex?” I asked. He ws mute, his lips still parted as he stared at Briana wh

Alicia looked at them, scared they would see and then she looked at Arnold and Adrian. They were looking at us. I shook my head and continued eating.Step mom cleared her throat and asked, “How is Finn?” I looked up, taken aback and I studied Alicia's body language. She was uncomfortable and she shoved food into her mouth. “You didn't tell me about how your date with him that day went,” Step mum pressed on.Alicia dropped her fork, irritated. “We broke up. He turned out to be a jerk.”Dad and Step Mum shared a look. “Did he

Bella’s POV“How did I wake up so late?” I groaned as I buttoned my school uniform. My eyes darted to the wall clock and it was almost past Eight. A knock on the door made me groan in annoyance. “Wait a little bit more, Cyra. I know I;m late already.” My shoulders dropped. “This is your fault, you know? Why didn’t you wake me up today?”Cyra had to wake me up for me to go to school early, whenever I had to get up on my own, the alarm would ring and turn off on its own and it was the morning sun hitting my face that always woke me up. “Bella, it’s your Dad.”I froze when I heard Dad’s voice. He didn’t have to tell me who he was for me to know. What was Dad doing here this morning? He had not been to my room in ages. I rushed to the door and opened it up. Dad was standing out there in his favourite silver robe. “Good morning, Dad,"I said and bowed a little. He nodded and entered. “Bella, good day. I see you are getting late for school.”I shut the door and came to him. “Yes, Dad.”“I
