Mag-log inHailey:
The moment I stepped out of that room, I didn't look back. I could still see the woman I used to be so clearly, even if I no longer recognized her, and I wondered what my life would have been without Lucien, without the twins trying to sell me off, and without my escape. If it wasn't for him, I would never have been back in this accursed place, a place that claimed the life of my father in cold blood, so I refused to look back. If I did, I would see Axel standing there with those silver eyes full of questions he had no right to ask, questions that came a year too late. "What is she feeling like, and how did she manage to become Luna to Alpha Lucien?" the chief servant spoke, the same servant who had scorned me and despised me throughout my lowly years of servitude under the tyrannical rulership of the Triplet Alphas. I lay down to relax, but her words kept ringing in my head. My thoughts carried me down the endless hallway while my heart refused to calm down. My wrist still burned where he'd held me, and my skin still remembered the warmth of his hands, which disgusted me even further. I shut the door behind me and leaned against it, breathing hard as though I'd just escaped another attack, only this attack hadn't been against my body. It had been against the walls I'd spent an entire year building around my heart. But I couldn't worry about that right now. I needed to take a shower and prepare for dinner, where matters concerning our arrival would be discussed. I never knew another round was waiting for me, a round of segregation, if not humiliation, depending on how you chose to put it. I lifted my wrist and stared at the faint red marks his fingers had left behind as the hot water glazed over my skin, washing the dust of the long journey from my temples. Without thinking, I rubbed them with my hands, trying to wash away the faint glow. I scrubbed hard enough that my skin crawled in pain. I went on again and again until it stung. Then I stepped out of the shower, disheveled and bewildered. I creamed my body and put on an enticing cologne as thoughts and memories rushed through my head. "You've changed," I whispered. Then I heard the distant orchestra preparing for tonight's events as I got ready for dinner. Maddison's reaction would be priceless. I smiled as I strolled toward Lucien's chambers. "The chambers are for Alphas only," the chief servant smirked, blocking my path. "You will respect me, lady." I glared at Evelyn, the chief servant, but she wouldn't budge. I guessed she would be the first one to receive her fair share of retribution, so I walked up to her, staring straight into her eyes. I was about to take action when an authoritative voice broke the tension. "The honorable lady will be joining me in my chambers." Lucien's voice came out stronger than I expected. "Is this how you treat your guests?" he asked, glaring at Evelyn. "Sir, you misunderstand my intentions. It's just that the lady..." "Quiet, woman!" he cut in mid-speech. "If this ever repeats itself, we will depart from Hallow Hades Pack and walk away from the arrangement." "I hope you have a good explanation to offer the Triplet Alphas when they lay hands on you." "I'm sorry, my lord." Evelyn bowed slightly before departing from my presence, the two guards quickly following behind her with their heads lowered in defeat. "You always come to my rescue." I turned to Lucien, smiling sheepishly."You know I had that handled, right?" "I couldn't let you lift a finger or stain this beautiful dress with the whimpers of those low lives." Lucien smiled as he took me by the waist and led me into his chambers. The room was warm, illuminated by the soft glow of the fireplace. A bottle of wine rested on a polished oak table beside two crystal glasses, untouched. Through the open balcony doors drifted the distant sound of the orchestra rehearsing for the evening banquet. "You look troubled," Lucien said quietly after closing the door behind us. "I'm trying not to be." I answered, biting my lips as I glanced at his chiseled muscles He walked closer, his emerald eyes searching mine with the same quiet patience they always carried. "You saw them." I nodded. "I wasn't prepared for how they would react, I never thought of the bad energy and drama I’d encounter, returning to this place, the jealousy is overwhelming." “speaking of jealousy” he grinned mischievously “maybe we will give them one good show, something to be jealous about” “What do you mean?” I asked. He stared at my breast and my standing nipples as he stepped closer and closer. Lust was clearly written in his eyes, then he carried me unto the bed and used his tongue to unhook the zip at the back of my dress, I protested, but deep down I wanted it “The dinner is twenty minutes baby, if we continue, we will be late. we–” “ahhhhhhh” I cried in pleasure, as his teeth grazed my already bulging melons, sending shivers down my spine. He used his fingers to walk through my pants and in one grab, he pulled it off and placed it over his nose inhaling the scent for several long unbearable seconds. Then he placed me over his lap as my hornyspot felt the bulging thickness underneath his skin. He kissed me with such passion, as if we had just met yesterday. He went on kissing and tasting the softness of my lips until my lips turned sour. Then, in one go, he bit down softly as I let out hard moans. He used his teeth to unhook my bra, and his fingers began to work magic, tracing the lines on my body as if he were worshipping a work of art with his hands. Then he pinched the tip of my nipples as his tongue traveled from my neck directly to the melons in my chest. He takes it in his mouth and bites into it, soft enough to send jolts of electricity into my brain. By the time he was done with one he stylishly moved to another and began to work his magic ones again. “Uhhhmmmmm,” I let out soft moans as my legs trembled in anticipation, waiting for raw action. But he didn’t stop. He kept on licking and sucking hard until I practically dug my fingers into his bare back. “ahhhgg” he roared as my finger dug hard into his skin, and drops of blood trickled from his back. “Are you alright?” i asked in concern as i heard his agonizing scream, “no, I'm not," he roared, “but don't you dare stop now!” Immediately, I used my hands to yank off his pants taking his full length and shoving it into my honey spot, in one bounce, a gosh of liquid flooded his temples as excitement and the warmth of his length combined with the previous rounds of fore play had messed dangerously with my head, But from our years of practice, we couldn't just stop here. After enjoying the thickness of his skin for several long seconds, I began bouncing up and down his legs as I placed my two sharp claws around his hard back. “Haaaarder daaaamn,” he cried out but I kept the same pace same rhythm and bounced once, twice, thrice till I lost count, I kept on going over and over again till i began to feel a tension building in me, “Daaaaaaaaamn” he cried out but I didn't go faster any more, instead I held him tightly as I grinded on him–five hard intense slow grinds. His legs began to shake irregularly. “Ahhhhhhhhg” he cried out as he met my deep thrust. The tension building inside me had reached its peak then I felt Lucien's liquid explode inside me, warm and thick as we both climaxed together. For several long minutes, I lay in his naked arms as his full thickness rose and fell inside me. Just then I heard loud knocks. Bang bang bang!!! The door of the chamber quivered under the intense pressure of the knocks. The healer gave me something bitter to drink, and I poured half of it into the wash basin while her back was turned, because I had four hours until first light and I intended to be conscious for all of them.At the fourth bell I dressed with one hand and Amanda's help."You should be in bed," she said, for the ninth time, kneeling to lace my boots. She tied off the second boot and sat back on her heels and looked up at me. She had been crying at some point in the night, and she had not asked me a single question about the cells."My brother says the eastern terrace has a gate that isn't locked," she said. "The groundskeepers use it. The third row is under the yew."I looked at her for a moment."Thank you, Amanda.""Bring me back," she said. "Whatever it is. Bring it back and let me be the one who knew first."They were waiting for me on the terrace steps in the grey before dawn, and there were three of them, and none of them had slept either.Axel had two shovels over his shoulder.K
She came down the last four steps into the torchlight with her hands empty and held slightly away from her body, which is what you do when you know exactly how many armed men are looking at you.Two bands of gold at each cuff.Axel moved between her and me. "You will stop where you are.""I have stopped." Lena's eyes went past his shoulder and found mine. "Ask me. Don't let anyone ask it for you.""Did you give Maddison that ring?""Yes." No hesitation at all. "Which is why I came down here myself instead of sending a man and why I will surrender my sword to Alpha Axel before I leave this cellar and why I have already put my own people under watch by their own sergeants." She unbuckled the sword from her back one-handed and held it out flat. "Take it. Please take it now, because in about four minutes the Head Warrior of this pack is going to come through that door looking for someone to kill, and I would rather not be armed when he does."Axel took the sword."Forty two members of the
HaileyI got down four flights of stairs on a tremor and a locked jaw, and I do not remember any of it.Lucien had my good arm. Axel went ahead of us with two guards, and the healer came behind with her bag banging against her hip, cursing the stairs, cursing the pack, cursing me specifically for being out of bed.The cells under the east wing were older than the pack house above them. Stone laid by hands that had been dust for two hundred years; damp coming through the mortar; torches in iron brackets set too far apart so that you walked from light into dark into light again.I had been down here once, on the morning they took my father. I had got eleven steps before two warriors turned me around by the shoulders, and I had spent four years afterwards imagining the rest of it.Now I was going to see it, and it had nothing to do with him at all.Garrick, the warden, lay across the threshold of the guard room with his cheek in a puddle of spilled tea."Breathing," the healer said, knee
HaileyNobody spoke for a long time. The lamp on the table needed trimming. I remember that. I remember watching the flame gutter and lean while two of the most powerful men in the north stood four feet apart in a healer's room and decided whether to become enemies."Say his name," Axel said."Cassian." Lucien did not look away from him. "Alpha Cassian of Silverwood. My father's elder brother. He held the pack for thirty-one years before it came to me.""Held it or kept it?""Both, depending on the year."Axel's hands were still at his sides, and that was the frightening part. When Axel Thorne is angry his hands move. When he is calculating, they don't."Where is he?""Coldwater. A lodge on the north shore, four days' ride, longer in autumn." Lucien's jaw worked. "He retired the season I took the pack. I have written to him eleven times in three years. I have had two replies, both of them about fishing.""You expect me to accept that.""I expect nothing from you at all.""A woman was
HaileyI woke up angry. That was new. Every other time I had come back from the dark in this pack it had been to fear or grief or the flat grey of nothing left to lose. This time I opened my eyes in a room full of lamplight and the first thing I felt was rage, and it was clean, and it was mine, and I could have wept with relief. My wolf stirred. Faint. Distant, like someone humming in another wing of the house.Still there."Don't move the arm."The healer was a small round woman with grey plaits and forearms like a blacksmith. She had my wrist strapped to a padded board and a poultice packed along the inside of my elbow that smelled of tar and crushed mint."How long?" My voice came out ruined."Five hours. You'll have the tremor for a week." She peeled a corner of the poultice back, looked, grunted, pressed it down. "Wolfsbane draw, refined. Not the field kind you steep in a pot. Someone paid an apothecary a great deal of money.""Would it have killed me?""On a warrior your size? N
HaileyThey gave me nine minutes to prepare in a stone room under the western stand. It smelled of sand and old blood and lamp oil, and there was a bucket in the corner, and I understood now why the fighters used it, because my whole body had gone cold and loose and wrong."You are not doing this." Lucien filled the doorway. "I'll pull Silverwood out of the alliance tonight. I'll do it from the sand. Give me the word.""And then what?" I pulled the last of the pins out of my hair and dropped them in a row on the bench. "Three packs break with the capital, the Elders get exactly the crisis they want, and Fenrir has to choose sides in front of the whole south. Over me.""Yes. Over you."Something moved in my chest, painful and warm."You spent a year teaching me," I said. "Every morning. Rain, snow, the week I had fever and you made me stand anyway. Why did you do that if you were always going to stand in the doorway?"He shut his eyes."Corvain arranged this," he said."I know.""That
Hailey:"Running won't save you,” the words echoed in my head with every step I took.I had to keep going. I could not wait for Alpha Donovan's people to come and drag me away to a fate that I did not know. And I would not wait until to be rejected again.I would rather die alone in the woods than
Hailey:"I said stop, " Axel snarled. He dragged me through a side door I had not even seen. The room beyond was dark and empty. It was some study or office. He shoved me inside and slammed the door. His massive frame blocked my exit.“Please just let me..”The door burst open again, and Royce and
Hailey:"Do I look okay in this dress?" I asked, as I looked at myself in the mirror.I pulled at the bottom of the dress. The dress was stuck to my body in places I did not want it to be. It showed skin that I did not want it to show.Maddison turned around and smiled at me, her smile did not look
Hailey: One Year Later"Two weeks, " I whispered to myself. Two weeks until my contract with Alpha Lucien ended. Two weeks until I was truly free to build a life where no one owned me or controlled me. Alpha Lucien had kept to his words about everything. He had given me protection and in return,
