Cassandra's POV

I decided to make the call concluding that my parents deserved to know how I was doing and about their grandchildren. I dialed the number on my phone and made the call.

The call went through and all I could hear for a while was the ding sound that showed it was ringing. I eventually gave up when it rang for several seconds and cut the call.

Maybe I wasn't meant to call home yet.

I would just stick to my plan of calling when I had saved enough money to pay for the transport fare to and from this place for at least one of my parents. If I had given birth to just one child, I would have probably saved that up already but I was still glad to have all three of them.

I quickly stood up from my bed to prepare myself for work since the free time was over already and since I was early, decided to walk to the restaurant when I was ready.
