Chapter 7: Dark Blue Eyes I

Dark blue eyes kept their focus on wrapping the bandage on his knuckles. It's been a long week, and it's just Friday. He still has Saturday to go through before he can sleep in on Sunday.

The new nurse— nurse assistant? The school nurse intern? — is looking at him weird from across the room. That's fine, Jay is used to stares and mumbles thrown his way. He's also a regular at the nurse office.

The nurse, Miss Wakefield, doesn't mind him being here. He makes her job less boring, she said. As if dealing with the freshmen jumping off stairs isn't busy enough for her.
