It was just an ordinary day at The Broth. Maxine was about to step out when Bulk stopped her near the exit.

“We have a problem boss,” he said with a mild hint of irritation.

“Spit it out Bulk,” the enchantress replied.

“Those two in the corner,” he said, pointing towards a pair of golems sitting quietly in a corner.

“Don’t look familiar; haven’t seen them before,” she said eyeing them cautiously.

The two of them sat opposite to each other. Their expressionless faces plastered in what looked like semi-dried clay. One of them looked a little paler and lighter than his companion, who was brick red in colour. Obviously he is younger than the other one, Maxine thought. She knew that golems changed colour as they grew older. The oldest one she had seen years ago was bright red in colour.

A moment later, the older one of the golems shot a quick glance to where Maxine and Hulk were standing. His red shot eyes briefly gave a hint of recognition as his gaze moved from Maxine to Bulk and then he
